The Brother Mill Café & Bakery — Restaurant in Munich

This cafe has a truly horrific customer service. I decided to make a quick swing by this place to get some breakfast. Little did I know that the experience would ruin my morning. First of all, after I had paid cash for the order, the young woman cashier was not careful in handing me back the change, leading to the coins falling all over the table and onto the floor. Did she apologize? No. All she could say was "Hoooppalla" and not even offered to help pick up her mess. TF?? Other customers witnessed this and exchanged a glance of regret and sympathy with me over the situation.

Next, I ordered a flat white. The fulfillment process was horrific to say the least. After waiting for over 5 mins, I asked the same cashier who took my order about it, and she said it was in preparation. Cool. Another close to 10 mins with no order coming. The last straw for me was when another customer who arrived and ordered after I did was served her beverage. She also looked toward me with a quizzial look and shrug like "I don't even know what's going on." Nevertheless, I also voted with my feet by walking out of there without receiving what I had paid for.

This behavior is deplorable. Listen, today wasn't the first time I had visited this cafe. In fact, a few weeks ago, I had made a catering order from there, and decided to pay them another visit. But not anymore. I respect myself, my time, my dignity, and those of other people. If this is breached, that's a non-negotiable for me.

I will not be stepping foot at the Brother Mill Cafe anymore, and neither will I recommend...

We went to this place being the only breakfast place in the neighbourhood. Was quite crowded. So we decided to pick the food and come back and eat at home. We ordered vegan food and we asked many questions about if the food is vegan. So we eventually decided to order two vegan baguette sandwiches and for me also a flat white. When we came home we found out that they instead packed goat cheese sandwiches which my girlfriend couldn’t eat as she is allergic to milk. When I tasted flatwhite it was literally like filter coffee which seems quite famous for German customers. But I expected my drink to have least coffee and mostly milk. Cute café with good coffee and a variety of pastries and sandwiches. I’ve been three times by now and there was always something not quite right. One time I ordered a pesto sandwich and was told that they’re too busy to heat up the sandwich (read: unmelted vegan cheese). Made for a subpar culinary experience to say the least. This time they were completely overwhelmed with the orders and were not super friendly. I bought some brownies that were clearly a day old (at least), tough as a brick and floury-tasting.
