What a great experience. Booked a reservation online... they email you... you respond with your phone number. Easy! From the minute we got there, we were treated like family, service was fantastic, we asked for recommendations on wine, and customized one of the entries without any drama. Capacio was one of the better I ever had explanation point life order depending with tomato sauce I ordered a veal blast that they include some noodles with it they put a tagalitelli on the side. Pasta is fresh and cooked perfectly. Famous for their tiramisu! We requested amaretto with ours.... no problem! As we leave he asks where we are from being from San Diego and Arizona he got excited and wanted to show us the golf flags from Tori Pines and the phoenix invitational period they have a connection into golf at the very high level and we were introduced to some people given commemorative ball and showing all of the flags from all over the world period really neat! This place is going to be a lot of fun! We'll definitely be back anytime we are in Munich!

Amazing ambience, food, behavior and service. This was my first time dining inside a restaurant, since the lockdown (and coming to Munich) and I was thoroughly pleased. Went there with my friends; we ordered the grilled salmon, pasta aglio e olio, pizza margherita, chocolate mousse and the tiramisu. The highlight for me was the pasta aglio e olio, very authentically prepared and delicious. The grilled salmon was also really delightful and so were the deserts. The pizza could have been better but we were quite late in reaching the restaurant and this could be a possible reason for the imperfection. No problems in communicating in English whatsoever, very easy to locate and a great place to have a dinner with loved ones. No wonder it's Numero Uno in Trip Advisor's list of best Italian restaurants in Munich. Highly recommend.

This restaurant has none whatsoever standard for food quality, service or hygiene. After a long wait at the door entrace they noticed we where waiting (in a very small restaurant),they accompanied us to a table that had used tablecloth with very evident foodstains, noticed straight away from the nearby table the food they just served that looked very bad to my opinion so we ordered pizza to be save we thought, well wrong.Pizza was ,first at all, with frozen dough ,plus ingredients from the lowest quality (ham ,cheese, olives, tomatoes )and the size for children and cooked in an electric oven.I really don't understand what kind of measuring reference people have to value this place so high or even to recommend.Well I guess in my opinion food is not a passion or pleasure for everyone neither their knowledge .

Could not recommend it LESS.

NEVER have I been treated so poorly at any establishment. The owner made it his mission to yell at us and humiliate us. Why? Because we asked to order our food (at a restaurant - shocker).

We had been at our table for 45 minutes and nobody came to take our order. Tables came and went, and they were serving people that arrived after us... I politely signed at the waitress when she came around. She said "ya" but never came. So I politely signed at the next waiter that came around, who just turned out to be the incredibly rude and arrogant owner.

The owner yelled at me saying "We're just 2 serving, you can't expect to order whenever you want." I will come back when I can." We had been at the restaurant for nearly 1 whole HOUR at that point, we weren't rushing anyone. I also understand it's demanding, and I would never be rude to anyone who's serving me, so I just said ok.

The owner came back after literally 2 seconds and yelled again, "If you're in such a rush, what do you want?".

As soon as we put in our order he sarcastically yells again, "Since you can't wait, we will close the kitchen just for you and you'll have it."

At that point we just wanted to leave, but there didn't seem to be any going back. Why have a restaurant if this is how you'll treat your customers when they're just trying to order food?

I will add - as I've seen that this seems to be his argument when replying to Google Reviews — we were not being loud, dressed "inappropriately", or behaving in any way that is inappropriate for a restaurant. As small as it may sound, we always made it a point to say "please" and "thank you," even after being literally yelled at multiple times. He just kept going.

I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio but was brought a karafe of Chardonnay. I politely told the waiter (not the owner) that I had only ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. He seemed sweet, apologized and said he would replace it. However, it was the owner who brought me the glass of wine afterwards, and made it a point to scream at me again.

He brought the food, and yelled specifically at me (since I was the one who politely signaled that we were ready to order). I can't even remember what he said at that point, but I had enough and literally had to tell him to stop. I am not exaggerating when I say I was on the verge of tears.

The carbonara was ok. I've had better, and frankly my friends and I had completely lost our appetite by that point.

He came back to ask how it was, in his sarcastic tone again. Since it had escalated so much (or better, since he escalated it so much), my friend explained to him in German that we didn't rush him. That by the time he came to take our order we had been at our table for 50 minutes, and all we wanted was to eat some nice food.

He yells at us once again, with a smile on his face, "Do you want an apology from me. Is that what you want? Ok, I'm sorry."

It was a shame because we were really excited to try the restaurant after looking at positive reviews, and the place was in fact beautiful; but the service absolutely ruined it.

Didn't want to literally write an essay of a review on a Sunday morning, but here we are. If you managed to read all of this, I do not recommend this place at all, unless you're into being humiliated and treated...

I recently had a twelve-hour, daytime layover in Munich. Those kinds of layovers can be as great as they can be hellish. Da Fausto was key in making our time in Munich extremely worthwhile. We took the Lufthansa Express bus from the airport into the city centre, and didn't walk for very long until we found Trattoria Da Fausto.

The owner and his wife were extremelt welcoming, and the space itself is beautiful. They must take very good care of their pothos plants to have them growing all throughout the ceilings of the space. It's thoroughly delightful.

We ordered the coursed meal (four or five courses? It's been a few weeks since I was there), and not a single thing disappointed. I had to stop and stare at the friend I was with when we got to the dessert course. The panna cotta, which the owner told us was made fresh every day, puts every other thing that calls itself panna cotta that I've had to shame. A small detail in the overall quality of the meal, but I am a huge fan of well-done sweets.

When we were finished, we were talking with the owner, the standard casual banter between tourist and warm, welcoming local. Plot twist, he has been to and played golf on courses extremely close to where I live in North Carolina, USA. Usually people will ask if you're from LA, NYC, or Miami, and if you say something else they don't know where it is. But this man actually managed to have a piece of our home city with him all the way in Munich.

All in all, eleven out of ten, go and get the coursed menu and enjoy your time at...

Experience that I could not believe. My daughter invited me on June 1st 2019, one day after Fathers Day was celebrated in Germany. The reservation was for 19:00, I arrived ten minutes before. A man, I guess the owner or a maitre showed me the table and told me that the reservation was made for seven at night and it was not that time yet. I just told him to bring me a beer while I waited. At seven o‘clock a nice gentleman, a waiter, came to the table and asked me if I wanted a beer which I replied a pilsen beer, the waiter smiling told me that a white beer is better, I agreed. Later, while eating with my daugther, my wife and three friends of my daugther I ask the owner or maitre that I wanted a Frangelico (my daughter told me that she did not remember drinking that sweet drink), so in an Italian Restaurant I thought it was a standard to offer it. When the owner or maitre told me that they do not have that drink in the bar, I asked him, with a friendly smile, that if he was sure. The man turned his face red and said outloud that if I wanted to drink alcohol I should go to a bar, and added that I just had two strong white beer. Wow, I could not believe my ears nor my eyes with that show. The food great, the place elegant, the waiter friendly but one sour and toubled person can ruin it all. It is a shame. After spending €115 plus tips I felt I could be treated better in some other good italian restaurant that there are a lot...
