We have eaten here twice. First, it was OK. I ordered bibimbap. The raw egg disturbed me. I think the rice was not hot enough or the egg was not so fresh so when I stirred the egg the taste was bit putrefied. But the spring rolls were good. Anyway, we come again for the second time. To be honest, I just wondered with all the good reviews bout this restaurant and want to convince myself that I was wrong at the first visit. May be it just about the taste. Einen ersten Vorgeschmack (in Form eines leckeren Tteokbokki) konnte ich schon beim Stand des Restaurants auf dem Alfons & EMMA-Quartiersfest bekommen. Die Reservierung ist unkompliziert, und ein paar Tage später sind wir mit sechs Personen im Seoul. Das Lokal befindet sich in einem modernen Gebäude, es gibt auch Außenplätze an der viel befahrenen Zehnthofstraße. Innen ist es stilvoll eingerichtet, wir sitzen unter einem Ziegeldach. Die Karte bietet koreanische und japanische Küche. Hauptgerichte liegen zwischen elf und 21 Euro, es gibt auch einen günstigeres Mittagsmenü. Der Service ist perfekt.

Vorab gibt es als Gruß aus der Küche verschiedene eingelegte Gemüse. Ich starte mit einem Mix aus jeweils zwei Gunmandu ("koreanische Maultaschen gefüllt mit Hähnchenfleisch und Gemüse") , Gimmari ("frittierte Glasnudeln in Seetang mit Sojasauce") und Ebi Tempura ("frittierte Garnelen"). Der Hauptgang ist Haemulbokkum ("gebratener geschnittener Tintenfisch mit Garnelen und Gemüse"), dazu einen nicht näher benannten Sake auf Raumtemperatur. Mir hat es hervorragend geschmeckt, auch das Feedback am Tisch ist durchweg positiv.

Fazit: Gehobene koreanische Küche in schönem Ambiente.

That was absolutely delicious! We were so surprised that there would be an authentic Korean restaurant in Pforzheim! Having nothing comparable in Stuttgart, we are willing to shoulder the 40 km distance also in the future. A few words regarding the food: Authentic, High Quality Products, Very Good Side Dishes 반찬, A Fantastic Pajeon (파전)... And a very friendly service in a nicely designed...
