Café Hackenberger — Restaurant in Saarburg-Kell

The coffee was decent Prices ok for the region (€2,5 for a regular coffee, €2,2 for an espresso)

My main issue was with the cleanliness, especially that of the bathroom, not the toilets perse, but the rooms and especially the inside of the door of the seated toilet - hasn't been cleaned in years, no idea how many years but it looks like at least 2 years. It would literally take less than 10minutes every 6 months to not have it be this way. There is a general sense of neglect pervading the whole business. When I came in the staff didn't seem to know what to do, 3 staff (visible) for 1 client, one of them could have easily taken it upon them to just fix the problem right then and there.

The place smelled old, looked old (the look isn't much of an issue, since many of the clients are older people) But every aspect of the cafe just told the story of not really caring about the place.

Uns wurde das Café zum Frühstücken empfohlen. Wir mussten einige Zeit auf die Bedienung, einen älteren Herren, warten. Er war sehr grummelig und wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen.

Leider wurde das Frühstück sehr lieblos präsentiert. Der Kaffee war billig und schmeckte nicht. Die Brötchen waren pappig. Marmelade und Honig waren 0815. Das Ei war komplett flüssig, nach Reklamation haben wir ohne Diskussion ein neues bekommen.

Einzig das Croissant war sehr gut.
