Glasbiermetzgerei — Restaurant in Sankt Ingbert

Sunday, lunch-time. Order for 4 adults, 3 children. Not really busy, but understaffed. Not enough staff results in unnecessary waiting time. Order needs to be placed at the counter, food needs to be picked up. Nothing indicates this procedure to the patrons, no clue or hint on the menus outside.

Waiting time for our food was 70 minutes (!) for half the order and another 30 minutes for the rest of our order.

To me this is completely unacceptable, especially when the place is not really overrun.

The beer is consistently good, it is decorated nicely. They have very nice fries but it irritates me to no end to be charged for a small cup of their house made ketchup that manages to taste worse than store ketchup. On my last visit an employee stood in the kitchen eating over the grill in open toed shoes, no care for hygiene. I have a fine burger there and an inedible burger, unevenly cooked and falling apart. Even the child’s burger was too...

Update 2024: Muss leider Punktabzug geben, da Kartenzahlung nicht geht (nur alte Giro-EC-Karte - keine Visa, Apple Pay etc) umständlich, antiquiert - Im Jahr 2024 erwarte ich das einfach anders. Kundenservice schwach: für 2 Burger, Pommes, Bier bestellt und bezahlt - aber nur 1x Pommes bekommen. Auf Reklamation hin, hieß es nur, es sei nur 1x gebucht und man könne ja noch eine Portion bestellen (und bezahlen!). Leider hab ich keine Quittung erhalten und konnte es so auch nicht nachprüfen. Lieber Ollie, es ist echt schade. Wir waren von Anfang an (als die Burger noch im Sudhaus abgeholt werden konnten ) gern und oft hier - aber das war jetzt heut das letzte mal.

Lockere Atmosphäre, stylischer Laden und früher Mal hervorragendes Essen. Zumindest war es das mal - mittlerweile hat’s leider nachgelassen. Burger sehr fettig, Pommes etwas zu salzig. Schade.

Aber: Das selbst gebraute Herz&Heimat-Bier ist uneingeschränkt...
