Piran — Restaurant in Schweinfurt

This was my first time in Schweinfurt and I wanted to try a different style of food other than traditional German. So I had a friend recommend Piran's Croation restaurant, and let me tell you it was so good.

I was greeted at the restaurant in a friendly manner, my German is bad but the staff worked with and spoke enough English to handle my order. I started off with their house red wine and bruschetta which tasted fresh and amazing. Then I moved to the gulasch soup which further tingled my appetite. We had birthday dinner at this restaurant. Tried pork fillets in spicy vegetable sauce with butter rice and coleslaw. We also tried chicken breast in wine sauce with butter rice and Caesar salad. But the highlight was their dessert: vanilla ice cream with hot raspberry sauce and cream, and palat special filled with chocolate, served with ice cream and cream. Much of Croatian traditional food has meat in it, however Piran offers some delectable fish and seafood choices for a Pescatarian like me. Scampis - portion is just nice but people with hearty appetites might want some appetisers to start with. A lot regulars dine here, judging from the warm and familiar greetings....
