We started with the one of only two types of red wine on offer, being served in a chipped glass to me, and a glass with a previous customer's lipstick in two places, to my wife. This was rectified when we complained and two fresh glasses were duly brought. The wine itself then proved to be undrinkable. €3 for 5 litres from the bottom shelf of Kaufmanhaus? I ordered beer instead, my wife and daughter stuck with water, and we awaited the meal. The mozzarella and tomato salad, in a first-ever experience, appeared with pale yellow, thin slices of the grade of mozzarella cheese that you're more like to find grated onto a pizza or layered into a sandwich. Not the usual white, soft-interior bufallo mozzarella balls. And not with olive oil and balsamico but a salad dressing. The French onion soup offered was actually quite tasty, but a rather inique interpretation of a French onion and miso soup cross. All three of us ordered schnitzel, two of which the Wiener schnitzel. They were not great but to be fair, priced at half of what you'd expect to pay for a decent one, with generous quatities of fried potatoes. We were duly presented the full €100+ bill including the wines we had been unable to stomach and left. In 22 years of travelling to Germany, singly the worst meal we've consumed. We were a group of 4 people and we all had a bit of hunger, therefore wanted to try onion soup offered by this place. First of all, staff was really kind and flexible when offering us a table on a busy saturday evening. They quickly understood that we would not take long and offered us a table for around an hour. This was handled very well 👍🏼

Wir sind sehr enttäuscht. Als Familie mit Kind im Kinderwagen da. Sitzen auf der Terrasse im Innenhof nach Rücksprache nicht möglich, da laut Bedienung der Kinderwagen im Weg steht. Ausreichend Platz wäre da gewesen ohne im Tanzbereich der Servicekraft zu parken. Aber ok. Akzeptiert, kann ja so sein. Also vorne hingesetzt und dabei zugesehen wie die gleiche Dame für einzelne Vorgänge wie Besteck nachlegen raus kam und dann wieder innen verschwand. Außenplätze waren alle besetzt. Andere Kunden warteten noch auf das abkassieren, neue auf das Bestellung aufnehmen. Da unser Kind schlief wollten wir zügig bestellen, um während dessen in Ruhe essen zu können, wurden aber mehrfach ignoriert. Als dann bei dem Sechser Tisch neben uns nach dem Bringen der Getränke das Essen aufgenommen wurde, war uns klar, wenn das in dem Tempo weitergeht wird das hier heute nichts mehr. Sind dann nebenan ins Steakhaus gegangen wo wir promt bedient wurden und unsere Entscheidung mit Blick auf den weiteren Verlauf nicht bereut haben. Bei allem Verständnis für stressige Wochenendschichten im Gastroservice, mein Fazit trotzdem: Zu wenig Personal und allein nicht in der Lage Prozesse chronologisch und sinnvoll durchzuziehen, keine erkennbaren Abläufe. Tisch von der Vorbesetzung nicht abgeräumt aber die Karten schon ausgelegt. Bedienen der umliegenden Tische in willkürlicher Reihenfolge....
