Brenner — Restaurant in Stuttgart

This is a small place with a very cosy atmosphere. The seating was comfortable and so-on.

The real joys of the restaurant, though, are the staff and the food.

The staff. There were two delightful ladies serving, with good advice on the dishes, and excellent advice on the wines. We met the chef too, and he is a big, handsome, cheery man who could easily be in the front instead of hidden in the kitchen. The service was attentive, but unobtrusive; perfect in fact.

The selection of wines wasn't extensive,but all well-chosen and all the ones we tried were excellent. We were given 4 tasting glasses to help us make our decision for the white.

The food was excellent. My friend's starter was octopus tempura, which was fabulous. Mine was too, but I have forgotten the name.

We both had the daily special which was local beef with a red wine and onion sauce and thin roast potatoes. The steak was so perfectly cooked I could have eaten it with a spoon. I would have had dessert as they all looked beautiful, but by then there was no room inside me.

There was a vegan option, for those of you who are a bit weird.

The price was reasonable, actually, better than reasonable for food of that quality.

octopus tempura (honestly didn’t like this, I couldn’t taste the octopus, only the batter of the tempura, it wasn’t crunchy too :( ) beef tartare (I prefer Korean yukhoe, this was okay to me, but others at the table said it was good) saffron foam cream curry??? (THIS was mind blowing I loved it so much, such a complex taste, it had me closing my eyes to hone in on the flavours) saffron fish (very nice!!) steak (went over my head!!) roast beef & onion (very good, best main of 4) ox cheek (okay!!) complimentary dessert (very cute! comes in a danger/warning box, not sure why lol)

overall, I think the experience was nice but my qualms with this restaurant was 1) the slow serving (whole meal took about 2 hours?) 2) super overpriced 3) generally, food was average which makes the pricey bill even more not worth it

however service was good, they were friendly, and the place is quite chill for a fine...

Wir kommen bereits seit langer Zeit und regelmäßig ins „Brenner restaurant & feines“. Ganz besonders dann, wenn wir einen besonderen Abend genießen und unseren Gaumen und unsere Seele verwöhnen lassen möchten. Nun wird es Zeit, endlich einmal unsere Gedanken zum Restaurant Brenner festzuhalten.

Das Brenner befindet sich im Bohnenviertel im Herzen von Stuttgart und man kann es aufgrund seiner Größe und seines Wohlfühl-Ambientes als ein wahres Kleinod bezeichnen.

Die Größe des Restaurants macht es möglich, dass man hier eine fantastische Gourmet-Manufaktur vorfindet. Marco überrascht uns immer und immer wieder mit kreativen Speisen auf dem Niveau einer Sterne-Küche. Seine atemberaubenden Variationen, die unsere Geschmacksknospen jedes Mal zum Explodieren bringen, werden mit so viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet, dass man aus dem Staunen nicht herauskommt.

Bei unserem letzten Besuch im Brenner haben wir Marco freie Hand gelassen und uns überraschen lassen. Und eine Überraschung jagte die nächste – es war Genuss pur für den Gaumen, für die Augen und für die Seele. Die angefügte Bilderserie spricht für sich und ist Zeuge eines unvergesslichen Abends.

Wir haben weltweit schon viele TOP-Restaurants besucht und tolle Küchen genossen. Trotzdem sind wir immer und immer wieder überrascht, welche bisher nicht bekannten Speisen-Kreationen von Marco auf die Teller gezaubert werden.

Und dass zu solchen Gaumenfreuden auch die äquivalenten Weine angeboten werden, muss nicht besonders erwähnt werden.

Bei Marco fühlt und spürt man vollkommen authentisch, dass er verliebt ist in seinen Beruf und seine Kochkünste. Marco lebt seinen Beruf mit Herz und Seele. Und das Ergebnis dieser Hingabe zu genießen, ist Gaumenfreude par excellence.

Auch im Brenner gilt: Hinter jedem starken Mann steht eine starke Frau! Sabrina sorgt mit ihrer freundlichen und aufmerksamen Art dafür, dass bei einem Besuch im Brenner kein Wunsch offen und unerfüllt bleibt. Sabrina muss man nicht rufen, denn sie liest die Wünsche Ihrer Gäste von den Augen ab.

Wir fühlen uns wohl im Brenner und wir freuen uns schon heute auf unseren nächsten Besuch bei Marco & Sabrina – den Garanten für einen unvergesslichen Abend.
