We found this Vietnamese restaurant just by chance while walking around the city and we're definitely not disappointed. We were able to get in without a reservation as it was not too busy despite it being Saturday evening. We tried the spicy beef with vegetables (bò xào sả ớt), it was good. We also had a spicy soup with vegetables and tofu (Sup sura dura) which was very delicious. They have made the food spicy at our request, so if you like spicy food you can request that. Unlike other restaurants in Germany, the salt level especially for the soup was very good and not too salty. I particularly loved the dessert (Banh nep), it had 3 mochi-like rice balls filled with 3 different fillings. The balls themselves were not sweet but the filling was slightly sweet. It was served with one scoop of vanilla ice cream, coconut cream/milk and some salty/crunchy peanuts as you can see from...

I ate at Hanoi restaurant twice during my short stay in Stuttgart because I enjoyed the food and didn't see a reason to look elsewhere.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is prompt and courteous.

They are stingy when it comes to napkins - you get only one and if you ask for more they will bring you another one (this is common in the Central Europe so not unique to Hanoi).

I always consume red chilli from India with my food which is among the spiciest in the world so I sweat a lot (it is my natural anti-flu remedy) but thankfully they have plenty of hand paper in the WC which I used.

Their rice is tasty and reasonably priced and they use authentic ingredients such as thai basil...

Me and my colleagues went here for a dinner and we were really disappointed. Even before arriving the staff seemed annoyed with our group and took ages to serve us. I had the Vietnamese pancake dish which had literally zero flavor, like it was completely bland and tasteless. My colleagues also didn’t like their food and most didn’t finish it. When we asked for a dessert menu at 9:05 they said the kitchen closed at 9:00 which they failed to warn us of ahead of time although they say they’re open until 10:00. It was like they just wanted us gone.

Overall just a really bad experience here and I would definitely not recommend it for others,...

While traveling Europe, we were dying for something Asian and came across this lovely neighborhood gem away from any touristy spots. Wonderful pho flavors and family owned. They didn’t have green jalepenos but supplemented with red Thai chilli. Spicy but so good!! Definitely recommend this spot.
