Kaffeerösterei Café Moulu / Stuttgart — Restaurant in Stuttgart

Good place to eat breakfast or brunch. The breakfasts are nutritious and tasty. We had an omelette with ham and cheese. It was good, but subjectively I would have liked it to be a little less salty. Perhaps the ham and feta are salty on their own and the whole thing was a little oversalted. The coffee was also tasty. The staff is friendly and polite.

I didn't like that if you sit inside and the windows are open (and we had the windows open at the time), all the cigarette smoke from the street and the terrace gets into the room and it becomes impossible to breathe (especially if you, like me, can't stand the smell of cigarettes).

It was also very loud inside, as the people at the next table were incredibly loud and I could barely hear the person I was talking to who was sitting 20 cm next to me. But I suppose that's a matter of chance - how lucky you are with...

On an unexpected religious holiday Monday we found all our locals closed and we wanted breakfast. A google search located Moulu about 300m away so off we went hoping that it would be open. It was and we were lucky to get a table everyone seemed to have the same idea. Fortunately we found a table for two, the staff spoke English and we placed our orders. I ordered a flat white coffee but a latte in a tall glass turned up, while my partner order an espresso with hot milk on the side and was soon enjoying her piccolo. The main draw from reading previous reviews was the scrambled eggs which come in their natural state or you can order with bacon or ham or tomatoes or cheese or lots of other combos. The eggs were accompanied by a delicious salad with a dressing and a basket of bread and butter. We loved the food and will be breakfasting there...

Moulu has great food, they definitely do. But I have to make this review about their coffee.. And by coffee I specifically mean their cappuccinos. At Moulu you will arguably get the best cappuccino there is in Stuttgart.
