Beethoven Hall (Beethovensaal) — Attraction in Stuttgart

Been there for concert of Dream Theater, which are known for detailed music and sound. Unfortunately the sound quality was very poor, in the lower frequencies there was no difference, just one mass, so the songs sounded just like you turn on the bass boxes only and forget about the mids and heights. A lot of people around me also complained about the sound. At the end of the concert it was a little better, but it was a pity that you couldn't enjoy the perfection of the artists the way they deserve. Big arena/hall perfectly designed for concert , music festival and many more event. Big capacity for accommodating more than 1000 persons I guess. Well maintained bathrooms , Bar and snacks bar. Well designed for handicapped people as well. Many emergency doors. Well trained security personnel also staff for other tasks. Very near to subway...

Es finden dort immer wieder hochkarätige Konzerte statt. Die Akustik ist sehr gut. Der eigentliche Bau ist in der Bauweise damals bei Errichtung wegweisend gewesen, auch heute noch strömt ein besonderer Charme der 50er durch das Gebäude. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Leider ist die Restauration nicht zufriedenstellend gelöst. Räumlich im Foyer ist ein großes Gedränge der Erfrischungswilligen und den im Gegensatz dazu nur eine Pause machen Wollenden. Das ist in anderen Häusern (kleines Haus z. B. besser gelöst. Ich meine, eine Trennung dieser verschiedenen Gruppen wäre durch Ausnutzung des Foyers in Verbindung mit dem oberen Bereich lösbar. Soweit mir bekannt, war das von den Erbauern sogar so gewollt. Der jetzige Haupteingang wurde nicht als solcher konzipiert. Aber ich will hier nicht Romane schreiben zu dem Thema. Nur noch als Frage aber: warum wird das Restaurant nicht eingebunden in der Trennung der zwei Gruppen?

Aber: ich liebe dieses Konzerthaus! Eine unverzichtbare Grösse in der Stuttgarter Konzertszene! Ich bin immer wieder...
