Maulwurf Kneipe und Bar - Stuttgart — Restaurant in Stuttgart

We went to the Maulwurf after work with a party of eight. The atmosphere and the food was Ok even though there was a mix-up in the foodorder. It got really weird when the waiter started to mark off the drinks on the tab right after ordering and then again when the drink arrived - sometimes delivered by a different person. On one occasion I got two drinks added to my tab when I only got one beer. The same thing happend to a few of us - so I can only assume that this was not an accident. One of the very few bars which serves hundreds of varieties of beers. They have beers from all over Germany, Belgium and tons of craft beers. It might be difficult to find a table, and if you find one, you are in for a treat. So, I would suggest to reserve a table in advance! They have good and tasty options to eat as well. Update: Alles wieder wie früher, keine Einschränkungen mehr! Jetzt auch ab und zu mit Live Musik, informiert Euch zu den Terminen. Über den Maulwurf zu berichten, heißt Bier an die Theke tragen - zumindest für die, die schon mal davon gehört oder gelesen haben.

Chefin Barbara weiß auf jeden Topf ein Deckele. Biere des Monats als Einstieg sehr zu empfehlen. Danach weiter mit Klassikern aus dem handwerklichen Bereich aus aller Herren Länder. Und sagt nicht Kraftbier - das gab es hier schon, bevor es hip geworden ist. Snacks gibts auch. Empfehlungen sind Ochsenmaulsalat, große Salatplatte mit Schafskäse oder "was weg muss" - steht dann an der Tafel angeschrieben, mit den Monatsbieren. Manchmal recht laut, dann muss man sich halt noch lauter unterhalten. Arm wird man nicht, alles ist seinen Preis wert. Sommers stehen draußen an der sacklauten Straße Biergarnituren, die recht schnell belegt sind. Ach ja - VfB Fans kommen auch auf ihre Kosten, sofern die Bande gewinnt...hm.
