India House — Restaurant in Stuttgart

I really hoped to enjoy a nice dinner at India House , expecting some tasty Indian dishes. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned, and I feel the need to share what happened.

First off, the biggest issue was the food. I ordered the Lamb Tika Masala, and It tasted like they used meat that wasn't fresh anymore. We thought maybe it was just us, so we tried a few more bites to be sure. But nope, it definitely wasn't what good food tastes like. When we politely mentioned this to the owner, hoping for maybe an apology or some understanding, the reaction was pretty surprising. Instead of taking our feedback on board, she made it seem like it was our fault for not saying something after the first bite. This response was really disappointing. Good places usually want to know if something's wrong so they can fix it, right?

This whole experience was a bummer. Not only was the food a letdown, but the way the owner handled our complaint made us feel unwelcome and unheard. I believe in giving places a chance and that everyone can have a bad day, but this was more about how they deal with problems.

So, I'd say, think twice before going to India House. There are lots of other places where the food is good and the people running the show care about making sure you're happy with your meal.

I stopped by India House for lunch while looking for something easy, and Indian food always hits the spot. The menu didn’t have exactly what I was looking for in a lunch portion, so I ended up ordering a dinner-sized Chicken Tikka Masala instead. Good food, good ambience and above all great hospitality. The restaurants gesture towards every customer irrespective of origin is truely commendable. India house has extended its support for certain events organized by students in Stuttgart. Higly committed and crystal clear with their organizational part. My observation apart from being just a customer is that India house serves its staffs equally well.
