The short review is that the owner (or person at the till) of this thought it was a good idea to raise his voice in front of everyone because even if a waiter told me where to find an ATM I didn't know what the waiter was mentioning (when explaining where the ATM was she mentioned a german word which now I believe was the name of a nearby square however I don't speak german nor I am familiar with the city), I believe in his mind the fact that I asked for further details meant I was unhappy with her English, but honestly that was not the point, nor a justification for raising the voice. Keep in mind that the need to find an ATM is due to their card machine "not accepting" non-german debit card or other international credit card so I got this unpleasant experience while trying to fix an issue coming from their system. This could have easily scalated if I answered this person using the same tone, luckily I have kept my cool and explained once again that I understood there was an ATM nearby but being not familiar with the zone nor german was hard for me to understand what they were mentioning. What makes this furtherly unacceptable is that there are other reviews mentioning the same behavioural problems, so this person is aware of his impact on the business but just doesn't care enough to fix it. This is sad given the rest of the experience was perfectly acceptable.
A bit more details: The food was good value for money, a pork schnitzel, some nice wild potatoes on the side, found the caramelized onions too sugary but was not a major issue A minor incomprehension with the waiter about an Ice Tea ordered, where a Sprite was served instead, I asked to have the tea but gladly payed for both, I worked in the hospitality and I know minor...
Read moreThe food was ok. Served quickly, big portions, some locals were eating there, so apparently not worse than any other similar place. If you don't like German cuisine, go elsewhere. Everything is fried, fat and salty. Makes sense to buy XXL size and ask for a second plate and cutlery, portions are really big. Limited choice of drinks. The place needs a refurbishment, specially bathrooms. By far not the friendliest staff. Not English speaking. Cash payments only. And it was really cold inside, we couldn't take the coats off. Parking on the street is paid, again, cash (coins) only. If you are desperate for food, the place is ok. If you have choice, worth considering...

We came here for dinner on a Friday evening and were lucky to get seats without a reservation. The waitress was very kind and polite. Schnitzels start at around 17,90€ and mostly stay under 20€, depending on the sauce and side dish. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel XL and was pleasantly surprised by the portion — it was huge and delicious! It came with hot and crispy fries. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Toilets are available for customers. We’ll...
