The place Madagascar has a very authentic atmosphere supported by a very soft but local music. You feel like being in Africa. The Menu contains a lot of special dishes. The meat dishes are containing an awesome variety offered for a higher price than average (25-30€). I ate a vegetarian dish which tasted really good and gave me a lot of different flavor to taste from. The price was reasonable (below 20€) and drinks are as usual. the cool stuff they have are place were you sit on the ground or knew on the ground. The floor is covered with sand so you feel not like being in Stuttgart 😎.

Fantastic experience! The dining room it so cool and different, styled after a Bedouin tent I believe, complete with sand floors, and an option to sit on pillows on the ground and eat in true African style. Great selection of exotic meats (though there was unfortunately no zebra when I was there). Amazing flavors and spice in all the dishes, delicious vegetables, too. Fun drinks, some of which were recommended by our wonderful server (who also spoke very good English). We'll definitely be going back to try the zebra at some point, and also recommend all the other food, as well.

I didn't find anything for east, south or west African dishes the chapatis are actually more of arabic bread, this isn't at all correct to be named chapati.. Not sure where the dishes here originate from but definitely it's not catering for africa as a continent but rather one african country. But on another note, they have crocodile and zebra meat on the menu :) Food was tasty, very friendly staff, not very cheap... cocktails are 8 euros so if you are looking flr 20 euro food definitely not the place for you..

It's a lovely looking place, with a wonderful ambience. But simply not great!!! The food was nice and a little different, but absolutely overpriced for the quality and service received! We had to order from one of the 6 different set menus, which were not interchangeable, regardless of dietary requirements. As we were made to order from set menus, we assumed we would be served swiftly. Wrong! The food took forever to arrive for each of the 4 courses, and when it did arrive I had to ask for the plates which had been sat in front of me for over 20 mins from the last course, to be cleared before finally getting the next one. 2 members of our party were so hungry they went over the road to get a Kebab between courses! Friendly but incompetent staff unfortunatly. Food was brought over in dribs and drabs, and the staff had no idea who it was for. Half of the deserts arrived while the other half of the table were paying their bills, and one Sat on the bar and was not brought over at all! When asked to have it removed from our bill, or have some money taken off, we were told this was impossible! The whole service too so long that a whole party were stood glaring angrily at us for the last hour and a quarter of our meal, from the corner of the bar, where they were made to wait. They were then seated whilst we were still sat paying. We spent over 4 hours eating... and didn't even eat very much! Extremely disappointing!!! With any luck, they are able to cater better for tables of two. But, be warned! Do not...

I don't usually write negative reviews, but for this one I have to make an exception. Service was good, and the cocktails were ok, but other than that the food was very disappointing. I was poorly portioned, not very tasty and ridiculously overpriced for what it was. I'd say it's more of a place to go for atmosphere and to sit on the sand area as a novelty if you can get a space there. "Chapati" starters were not the indian flat bread we expected, but cheap crisped up bits of flat bread. The vege selection was a selection of some of the veggie mains. All pretty bland, but the spinach one was ok. It was very small portion for a main. Seemed a bit like a starter. Tiny portion of rice in the middle and like one piece of feta in the feta/pepper section.

I would save your money and go to to one of the other restaurants nearby. Perhaps the meat dishes are...
