Update: made a return visit and it was so disappointing that I had to knock it down a star. Place was packed out front on a nice Saturday evening in late April but the back dining room was a bit quieter (for reservations). From the start it was not a good experience. Waiter was distracted and disinterested. Some other workers were friendlier and helped him out. Pizza seemed to be served too quickly as all of the toppings just slid off when you picked it up. Bottle of red wine (Chianti) was way too warm to be enjoyed. Vibe just seemed different this time. Won’t return.
Great experience from start to finish. Wonderful open cafe vibes right on the edge of Marienplatz overlooking the plaza and Zacke train station. Young, friendly folks working the tables. Menu rotates seasonally so you know everything is fresh. The drinks were great, as well. Tiramisu was the perfect finish to a great...
Read moreOne of the best pizza places in Stuttgart and definitely the best for something a bit different. La Signorina, typically offers 8 pizzas (4 red sauce, 4 white cause) that change frequently depending on what is in season. They, of course offer, salads, appetizers, beer, wine, etc. as well.
The restaurant is in a lively part of town on Stuttgart's southside. Just this weekend, it was a beautiful Saturday evening and a friend was in town visiting. We walked over and even though the entire town was outside, we found a table quickly right outside. Pretty typical.
My wife and I go here frequently and I always try to bring visitors as a way of showing off what Stuttgart has to offer. Highly recommended.
P.S. This is one of the few places in the city that has Grübinger Naturüb bier. Sadly it is only in bottles, but getting a Grübinger is almost reason enough to...
Read moreVery nice italian restaurant with possibility to sit outside on a lively street or inside. Not so many pizza 🍕 varieties but special ones with or without 🍅 sauce 👍🏼. Tried from both and the taste was always very good. The dough is not had and not so thin, exactly as it should be to still hold it in the hand. No pasta on the menu. The service is good and polite, glasses, plates and cutlery are clean. Prices are ok for a downtown location. About 40€ for 2 persons ( 2 pizzas one double salad and 2 drinks). In all a place to recommend. You can be lucky finding a place without reservation but if you are the unlucky and inpatient type 😏 you better...
