Trattoria Riva — Restaurant in Stuttgart

I went here to celebrate my birthday, the environment is quite homely but we sat right in the middle and people were standing ALL THE TIME next to us and it was impossible to talk. One of the waiters is exteremly touchy, he held my arm to show me where to sit, may be that is okay for most of the people but I need my personal space and dont like to be touched by random strangers. He touched my head and shoulders again while taking the orders (nothing sexual but still really annoying). We ordered Pasta as can be seen in the picture, IT WAS VERY LESS OF A PORTION. Very very less, although it tasted good but it was way too less and my Ravioli was dipped in Olive Oil until the top. Okay, I have been to this place twice, The first time I went with a large group and ordered pizza, it was okay portion and tasted nice (wasnt anything special). I recently visited this restaurant and had one of the most disappointing dining experiences.

Once our order was taken, we were left waiting for more than one hour to get our drinks while the food never arrived. After around one half an hour we gave up and left the restaurant without dining. We felt like we were unwelcome in that restaurant.

The lack of attentiveness and unacceptable wait times completely overshadowed any potential positives about the food itself. My family and I love to go to Riva as it is close to our apartment, food is good and the service is excellent. Carman has waited on us every time we come and she is outstanding with her attention to detail and care for us. We go there because of her. She makes us always feel welcome.
