Bitburger Wirtshaus — Restaurant in Trier

This bar restaurants located inside a beautiful historical looking building, with a very large acceptance lounge. you have the choice between an Italian to the right from when you walk in or a bar restaurant type to the left when you walk in. the place was very clean the waiters are very helpful and kind and you could see the cooks in the kitchen doing their work which was also immaculate! Bathrooms are also very clean there were many tables, the only part that I didn't like was that we can select one of the at least 40 tables that were empty, we were only given one option of where to sit. But that was the least of my complaints I don't have any others because the food was very good. We had all three different types of schnitzel, and they were all very very tasty, and very fast to be served. It is definitely a place to bring your kids, most people had brought their children with. Prices were reasonable, and our waitress (the one with a tattoo sleeve on her right arm) was very very very very kind, and helpful. Will definitely be going...

SUNDAY BRUNCH - SORELY NEEDS MORE SALAD AND FRUITS

We spontaneously went for the SUNDAY BRUNCH at the Bitburger Wirtshaus. One of the Wirtshaus's great advantages is that it gives you a lot of room to sit outside in a rather nice location right in the city centre of Trier.

The food was really not that good, though. Ok, it's only round about 10 Euro (not including coffee), which makes it considerably cheaper than brunch at the Café Zeitsprung. But even at this price, it should be no problem to include some more salady things in the buffet. And what's worse is that there was no fruit whatsoever on offer. Not even a fruit salad or some apple slices or the like. Not recommended, and we won't be going back for brunch unless...

I haven't eaten that bad in a long time! I had a "Wirtshaus Grillteller". The meat was dry, tough and even though they asked upfront, the beef was well-done-to-the-max. The veggies watery and overcooked and the roasted potatoes mushy and oily. The whole dish was only lukewarm. And this times three on our table.

Besides that, the place was loud and crowded as always, the beer stale, the wine open since last week and the staff imposed friendly but very real stressed out.
