We stopped here for a quick lunch as we have soon tried most places in Trier and we are very excited about trying new foods and places.
The place is almost like a fast food restaurant, but with middle eastern foods. You order, then wait and collect the food by yourself.
My wife chose Gewürzwunder, my daughter had Brottaschen Mexico and I had the Arabesque. We also ordered a Knuspersalat and some humus.
The food was good, flavors were noticeable but not overwhelming. Could've used a bit more seasoning, but we are aware that many people here do not like when food is either very spicy or has too many different spices. We like both however.
My wife's dish consisted of chicken, veggies and rice. The chicken was good, juicy and with good flavor. The veggies were either from a frozen pack or had been cooking for a very long time. They had little to no texture.
The brottaschen was very good though. A very delicious meal.
Arabesque is meatballs in tomato sauce with rice. I'm at hard to mess up a tomato sauce and the meatballs had a good flavor with distinct spices.
Salad was ok. It had sadly way too much vinegar/dressing. The bottom layer was swimming and it made for a very soggy salad. Less is more when it comes to a dressing. Humus was good as well.
I do think we will come back and try a few more dishes when we are...
Read moreThe taste is very good. The food portion is quite small. They have many dishes for you. They have a lot of tables available for you inside and outside. It a very easy to find. The decoration is lovely. The place is quite clean. The temperature is warm. The music is good. The staff are nice and friendly. The waiting time for food is very short. You can pay by card or cash. They have a ramp for wheelchairs. You have to order at the counter and pay then you can get the vibration signal stuff. When it vibrates you can get your food at the counter. Mostly you have to self-service and also clear the table by yourself. They have no parking space. The staff can speak English very well. The menu has no English menu but you can use photo Google translate on your phone to help...
Read moreWent on a shopping trip to Trier with my GF, and stumbled on this small local that serves fresh and delicious arabic food.
You order your food, receive a small pager that tells you whenever your food is ready. I had a small variation of 7 different starters, cold and warm and 2 sandwiches.
They prepared the appetisers, and prepared the sandwiches with some delay, so that we could enjoy our startes.
The food was freshly made, the premises were clean, the staff friendly.
Would recommend...
