Crêperie Kornhäusle - Ulm — Restaurant in Ulm

Absolutely terrible service and taste. I was there with two friends, we have ordered all at the same time. After 45 minutes, first crepe came, and there were 30 minutes between each 3 crepes we ordered. Also, someone came and ordered 15 minutes later than us, received their food 30 minutes earlier than us.

Both sweet and savory crepes had low quality ingredients. Cheap chocolate sauce instead of real stuff, cheap low quality cream instead of a proper one. Probably frozen vegetables from mixed vegetable bags sold in wholesale markets. Savory one made my digestion system fail. I don’t also understand why we have been treated so unfriendly.

Hospitality and good food is definitely lacking here.

Not going to visit here again, and I will spread word of mouth to every friend in the city.

Reply to the Owner's response: Criticism was not made impulsively. As you can see; all the criticism are tangible, and explained one by one in detail. Not seeking for your apologies. You have a lot to learn about being a shopkeeper. Your reply is solely rhetorical defense, and does not answer any of the criticism that was made.

Nice and cozy place, a bit underlit but this adds to its romantic atmosphere. Decor is a bit outdated with mixers from the 1930's hanging on the walls together with 1990's posters fit in wooden frames. Foodwise, the dough of the crêpes is nicely made, it's fluffy and well baked. However, the use of chocolate syrup made the crêpe au chocolat taste like a cheap ready-made Supermarket crêpe. The chemicals of the syrup just made the whole experience bad. The coffee was also a bit watery.

Giving them another visit to try the salty crêpes because the dough of their crêpes deserves...

tried: sweet crepes with chocolate sauce, banana, cream 9/10 the texture is perfect thickness, chocolate sauce is on point. all the toppings mix well with the the crepes

savory crepes 9.5/10 love this a lot! perfect combination with cheese, egg, and meat. and the portion is perfect for one full.meal

cappuccino 8.5/10

the place is a bit small, but still cozy Enough. the service is always warm and friendly💛

only wish is to have add vanilla/ choco ice...
