Mommo's Pasta & Pizza — Restaurant in Ulm

Delicious, but not a place to go to if you have a complicated order on a Friday night. I have a gluten AND a dairy allergy, so I am always excited when I can find a place that is serving gluten free pizza when we travel. After a long day at Legoland, we just wanted to-go pizza back in our hotel room here in IUlm. I had a small glass of wine while we waited (which I wasn’t actually charged for… but I honestly think she forgot) and watched the happenings while I waited. I definitely noticed the woman making pizza and noticed that she didn’t use a different crust before they said my order was ready. I asked if one was gluten free and of course it wasn’t, though my kid’s ‘bambina’ pizza was ready. She made a new pizza, and when it was done, I was too hungry to remind them that I’d ordered three toppings but it only came out with one. A pizza without cheese is not a lot of fun to begin with, but a pizza with just sauce and spicy salami isn’t exactly what I was looking for. However, the crust, sauce and salami were all delicious and my daughter ate her kid’s margarita up. Just a word of caution: this place gets busy, so if you’re ordering something complicated (gluten free without cheese but with three toppings) and the server doesn’t write it down… well, just be ready...

Service geht wirklich anders. Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Rezensionen, aber das Verhalten grenzt an Frechheit.

Wir hatten reserviert, kamen pünktlich und wurden an unseren Platz begleitet. Nach einer halben Stunde nahm man unsere Getränkebestellung an. Nach einer weiteren halben Stunde das Essen. In der Zwischenzeit kamen 9 Personen Personen am Tisch nebenan, die nach uns bestellen. Als wir unsere Vorspeisen bekamen, bekam der andere Tisch bereits den Hauptgang..

Ich fragte nach Salz, da nur 2 Pfeffermühlen am Tisch standen, ich warte noch heute darauf..

Von unseren Vorspeisen fehlte eine.. Die einzige Warme.. Als man unseren Tisch wieder abräumte, und fragte ob alles ok war, sagten wir dass noch etwas fehle.. Darauf: "an der Theke stehen die noch, wollt ihr die noch".. Sagten ja.. Kamen an, war kalt, geschmacklich ok.. 15€.. Stand wohl schon ne weile ohne dass sie wussten wohin damit..

In der Zwischenzeit kam am Nachbartisch eine Pizza zu spät, man entschuldigte sich freundlich. Zur Entschuldigung gabs am Ende ne Runde Limoncello auf s Haus..

Hauptspeisen waren bei uns endlich da, wirklich sehr gut, eine der besten Pizzen, die ich bisher gegessen hatte.

Unsere Gläser vom Aperitif standen nach 2 Stunden immer noch am Tisch.. Gefragt, ob wir etwas trinken wollen, wurden wir nicht..

Als wir zum Bezahlen an die Theke kamen wurden wir gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war.. Ich verneinte und führte einen Auszug von oben erwähnten Punkten auf.. Daraufhin wurde ich gekonnt einfach ignoriert und man nannte uns den zu bezahlenden Betrag.. Wir bezahlten.. Keine Entschuldigung a la bitte entschuldigen Sie, es war viel los.. Blabla.. Es kam was durcheinander.. Oder einfach ein "tja passiert eben, blöd gelaufen..." Alles besser als einen Kunden ignorieren...

Echt schade, werde den Laden nicht...

I love the ambience here - it feels like homey & cozy Italian restaurant. 😍 especially if you sit by the window. I only tried 2 dishes so far: -Seafood Risotto 7/10 i love the texture and taste of the risotto, its perfectly cooked - also the squid& fish are quite good. but I do think the scallops could be improved

-cappucino 7.5/10 Its quite decent! and the price is only 3 euro

the price is ok, mostly 14-15 euro for each dish and you get quite big portion ( for me I eat it twice and had to take it away)

the service is ok, and will definitely try.more dishes and update in...
