Yoko — Restaurant in Ulm

went here yesterday spontaneously after wanting to go for a long time now and WOW. This might be my new favourite place. Such a sweet sweet place, loved the ambiance, the decoration, the music, the super attentive and lovely staff which helped me a lot with choosing and just being so charming and on top of all that - fantastic food. The menu is well put together and the dishes just more than perfect and really authentic! I would recommend a reservation because of the space and it was pretty crowded for a Tuesday, luckily the seating outside was possibly, during the colder days I imagine it a real booked out...

We had a wonderful dinner at this cozy Japanese restaurant in the heart of Ulm. The ambience is great and the food even better.

I tried several starters such as their Chicken Karaage, Gyoza, Edamame, Miso Soup and Spinach with Sesame. All of them tasted great, fresh and homemade!

Our group then shared a big tray of sushi (as seen in the photos) and everything tasted superb. Just the way I remember it from Japan. 🍣🍱

That was the worst japan food we have ever had! Miso soup was in a little cup 200ml, pretty much all inside was just a bullion and nothing much! The rolls itself were poorly made - the rice was falling apart and the rolls were small. And the soy sauce was incredibly salty! Sushi were fine. What we have ordered was: 2 miso soup, 4 portion of sushi and three kinds of rolls: with a salmon, tuna and another was with avocado (that was a set for two).
