Zur Zill — Restaurant in Ulm

During my visit to this restaurant with its picturesque riverside location, I was initially captivated by the beautiful surroundings and the pleasant ambiance created by the nearby flowing water. The drinks offered were enjoyable, contributing to the positive experience. However, the overall experience was marred by several shortcomings.

Not only did the food fail to meet expectations, with my Black Angus Fillet being overcooked and lacking freshness, but the service also fell short. The staff's approach of passing plates and cutlery by me to reach everyone else at the table was rather off-putting and disrupted the dining flow. Additionally, my companions in the company were equally dissatisfied with their turkey salad, to the extent that they barely ate half of it.

Given these disappointments, I would consider returning solely for drinks, appreciating the location and atmosphere, but if hunger strikes, I would seek out alternative...

Sehr gute Portionen, geschmacklich ok. Bedienung nicht sehr professionell und Ambiente aufgrund zu lautem Gerede der Angestellten und überlauter Musik zerstört.

Very good portions, nice location. Taste ok. There is a sign at the entrance “Wait to be seated” (due to Covid) - one of the waitresses was just sitting there, didn’t move, situation got a little weird. Then finally she said that we can choose a table. The girl that was serving us was very friendly. Unfortunately she told us we can have fries, Spätzle or Kässpätzle with the Schnitzel - didn’t tell us that the price will be higher depending on what we chose. The waitresses were having their private conversations going on very loudly, the music was slightly obnoxious - more for a college frat party than for a nice restaurant. Also if you want a real “Wiener Schnitzel” this is not the place as they don’t use...

I ate here just once and I'm in Love. ^^ :) Eatin' and Feelin'! The whole restaurant, those wonderful people are cooking' it away and away and they gonna make your day. I don't even have the words to say how good it is for your mood. The best traditional restaurant I have ever been to, the very best thing that I've felt in my Life until now. Definitely the best in the magnificent city of Ulm; the city of freedom and this can be felt in the SeXy atmosphere and VibeZ of "Zur Zill". Schnitzel est Dei donum and the Soul Revealing Schnitzel of the restaurant is just Heart&Body fulfilling. This whole place should be under cultural protection; that how great and special it honestly is. Tasty Social phenomena.
