QMUH Ulm — Restaurant in Ulm

Rude and dirty. We were just at the Ulm restaurant and I am disappointed to say that the staff were very rude and unprofessional and that the restaurant was dirty - even though we are still in the midst of a pandemic. The table we were expected to sit as was not clean. We asked the server to clean it and she told us she had already done it. However, we knew she hadn't because we had been standing waiting for a table. In fact, we saw her collect the dirty plates and put them on a tray, then take an order from another table, then walk away with the tray. At no time did she clean the table. In addition, it was pretty clear to see that there was still food on the table! When we asked her again she begrudgingly wiped the table (well, half of it, maybe), knocking some of the food onto the chair, after which I watched her go into the restaurant and throw the cloth on the counter - like a petulant child. When my colleague asked for a menu she told us that we would have to wait...and she walked away. When our server eventually came over to the table (a different lady) she dropped the pile of menus on the table and told us to register on some app before she would take our order, then walked away without even asking whether we were already registered. In fact, I don't even know whether she bothered to look at us, such was the speed with which she hurried past the table. As you can imagine, at this point we left. I am shocked and disappointed that, after months of not being able to eat out (for us) and not being able to work (for the servers), the standard of service has dropped to levels such as this. Today we came for brunch with some friends. We ordered drinks and Breakfast. The food came fast but our coffees and drinks came really late, almost after I had finished my food. My friends had to wait for their bread to come really long so their food got cold. When we asked the waiter about our delayed food and drinks, he was rude and didn't care. The hot chocolates that my friends ordered came delayed and cold. We asked for salt, they brought us an empty pot. We asked for pancakes with Nutella for dessert and they brought us really hard old tasting pancakes with a little Nutella glas on side, so we had to put the Nutella on top by andourselves, it was a really small amount so the taste of the old pancakes was really strong. Although it is a nice kozy place, I was really disappointed by the service and the lack of the quality of the food...
