Nestled in the heart of Rust, Hardy's offers a cozy dining experience that caters to lovers of classic American cuisine. From hearty burgers and succulent ribs to an array of vegetarian options and pasta dishes, there's something for everyone at this charming eatery.
During our visit, we decided to try the Hardy's Burger, dubbed the "best of" burger, which comes loaded with bacon, caramelized onions, and a fried egg. While the burger was satisfactory, it left us yearning for a bit more flavor to elevate it from just OK to spectacular. On the other hand, the Spareribs Spicy did not disappoint. The pork ribs, glazed with a tantalizing mix of honey, mustard, and chili seasoning, were an absolute delight. Opting for the spicy version, I was thrilled by its perfect balance of heat and sweetness – a must-try for any rib aficionado.
The service at Hardy's was a mixed bag. While the lady who took our order was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome right away, we couldn't help but notice some staff members eyeing us with suspicion due to our non-German conversation. This did slightly mar our overall experience.
Despite this hiccup, Hardy's offers good value for money, ensuring you get quality food without breaking the bank. While there wasn't anything particularly unique or memorable about our visit, the delicious ribs and the restaurant's inviting atmosphere are reasons enough to come back.
I would recommend Hardy's for a casual evening out, whether you're craving a classic burger, indulging in spicy ribs, or exploring vegetarian delights. It's a spot that promises a pleasant dining experience without the need for any...

This was quite possibly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, including much 'higher end' ones. Staff were friendly and incredibly efficient. We were served appetisers within 10 minutes of ordering, and mains within 10 minutes of finishing the appetisers.
The have alot of choice on the menu, and there's something for everyone. I chose the tomato soup for an appetiser, and the Argentinian steak for the main. The soup was delicious, but the steak - by far - is quite frankly the best steak I've ever had in my life, including American steakhouses. The meat melted away under the knife, and despite being incredibly juicy and succulent, there was still a crispy sear on the outside. It was full of flavour, and came with garlic butter and a big portion of fries.
While on the pricey side, the portions are massive and can easily fill you up from just a main.
We chose the lava cake for dessert and it was presented beautifully. The cake was so smooth and soft it almost had the texture of jelly. It came with delicious ice cream and orange.
Card payment is available here which is a bonus, the queues can be extremely long here especially on weekends due to europa park. Make sure to book in advance.
I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone in the area to come here. It's an incredible restaurant despite the price -...
Read moreI’m not one to leave bad reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We waited over an hour for our food, which is unacceptable, especially when a table that arrived 20 minutes after us got their meals first. When we inquired about our order, the staff seemed clueless, even asking us what we ordered right after we placed it.
Throughout the meal, the service was disappointing. No one checked in on us to ask if we wanted another drink or to apologize for the delay. The staff avoided eye contact, clearly trying to dodge any confrontation, and we felt completely ignored.
When the food finally arrived, one of the burgers was undercooked—raw in the middle, despite being requested well-done. Worse, my partner got very sick afterward. The excuse we were given for the delays made no sense; they blamed an electronic system issue, yet other tables before and after us were served without any problem.
There was no apology or offer of compensation for the long wait or the issues with the food. When we paid, the waitress awkwardly stood by waiting for a tip despite everything, which felt inappropriate given the poor service. To top it off, we weren’t even thanked or acknowledged when we left.
Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid it...
