Pizzeria Passarella — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Titisee-Neustadt

The place not to be! Low quality food and service to forget! I entered with a smile, I waited for a waiter as requested and I kindly asked if I could sit in the balcony outside. The waiter told me I could not sit outside even if plenty of place and he showed me a table in the corner where I didn’t want to sit. I have ordered one still water, one pizza margherita and one salad. The water came from the tap in a glass for the price of 3 euro’s. the salad was ok. The pizza was defrozen taste, baked in an electrical oven and super spongy heavy! The pizza from Domino is better! I went to pay and the same long face waiter gave me a paper with written 18.50 asking to wait for the pod machine. At the end he was not coming back and the colleague let me pay. Shame on all the line! Just for your info Italian food is not only food but also the kindness and the feeling to be welcomed! Far away behind to have nothing to do with Italian food or culture! Lesson for the day: Always carry a little cash! (Really? In 2025??)

I was intrigued by the vastly varied reviews of this place. My pizza was excellent, and while service was less than effusive, it was reasonable in terms of attention and promptness. Though I found the prices to be on the high side - it’s a resort town! 🤷‍♂️

There was a huge sign near the door (in German) that stated “STOP! Wait to be seated!” There were maybe two other occupied tables at that point, but OK.

What there was not, however, was a sign that said “credit card machine is broken!” Amazingly, I had exactly enough money in my pocket to pay the tab since I always pay with my phone, and only carry one credit card as back up when I travel. (ATM card was back in the hotel) Have no idea how what that would have panned out if I didn’t stick 20€ in my wallet that morning. 😅

Would have gone a solid four stars on the pizza, but this service glitch seems like sort...

WORST EXPERIENCE !!

I ordered chicken salad, the chicken was hard to cut with a knife.

I mentioned it to the server, she was very rude. No one was ready to listen, the manager didn’t listen either.

They took my dish mid-way of eating, didn’t let me finish having it. My family didn’t have their food because of their chaotic behaviour.

I sensed a bit of racism from the employees. I’ve never experienced such bad service from a restaurant. This definitely ruined the whole experience, the employees need to learn manners as service providers.
