Phoenix Hotel Reuterhaus — Restaurant in Wismar

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The check-in was handled in a small messy office room with empty cans and coffee cups on the table. Then I was taken to the the hotel entrance which is a back door next to garbage bins. I had to find my room by myself and the corridor smelled so much like cigarettes because employees use the hotel entrance door for their smoke breaks and don't even always go outside to smoke, just open the door. The room itself was spacious but the awful musty smell in the room made me seriously think about changing to another hotel. When checking out early in the morning the personnel didn't speak any English. I would never recommend this place and will never...

I find it hard to recommend this hotel. Other reviewers clearly had a different experience to us, but all I can do is reflect on my own. The room we had was small and not well maintained. Duvet covers were torn and one of the chairs in the room was badly stained. The shower could not be positioned, making it very hard to use and the wifi in the room did not work at all. When I reported this, the staff seemed unconcerned.||||The entrance to the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke through our entire stay, due to staff standing in the doorway smoking.
