Grill 'D' — Restaurant in Accra

FINALLY REAL SHAWARMA IN GHANA. I am from Canada and I am out here part time and one thing I noticed is that a lot of the establishments advertised that they have Shawarma now I’ve ordered from very establishments and what I got back is not what I know to be Shawarma so I just accepted the fact that in Ghana, it’s different. Today I was hungry so I have been in Palace Mall a lot because I get my sushi there and I have seen this place before and when I walked to pick my sushi up a gentleman encouraged me to come there, and I said next time so when I was on the app, looking for something to eat I came across this place and I saw the ingredients that were in the Shawarma and to my surprise. It was what I know Shawarma to be as they are so I ordered. I was so happy only thing I wish they would’ve made it A bit of a bigger portion because the wrap was kind of small but the flavour and the taste and how it’s supposed to be was 100%. I ordered chicken strips and fries for my son and that came and I tasted some of that and that was also amazing so I definitely will be going back, probably even tomorrow to get another Shawarma but this time I wanna be there in person so I may ask them to put a little bit more of the stuff inside so that it's...

I had the French fries and grilled chicken breast. The French fries 🍟 was decent, served with ketchup however the grilled chicken was dry and tasted burnt.

I made a complaint to the waitress and she promptly said they would change it for me which I was surprised about as this is my first experience anywhere in Ghana where they offered to change my meal at no extra cost!

They 2nd chicken breast they brought was definitely better than the first and not as burnt but I still didn’t enjoy it as much and wouldn’t order it again. For me, it lacked enough spice/ seasoning and tasted bland.

My friend also had fries and fish and I absolutely recommend that 10/10. The fish was well done and seasoned properly.!

Lady at the counter was rude and quite frankly her hair was horrible, dirty and messy. She kissed her teeth at me and my friends when we said we were placing our orders separately whilst she didn't ask. Their food is okay but expensive. Customer service is bad. Most of the workers have their masks off as well. Same dirty haired woman would not let my friend cancel an order she had just placed.
