So I’ll begin this review with the positives serene pool area for late night chats okay location got a couple restaurants you can walk to (Baku & Honeysuckle) *the restaurant staff are great & the doorman
That’s really it. Honestly
Now for the bad sewage smell from the water is VERY strong *ACs work. But please make sure you close all doors otherwise you’ll come back to a sauna *The staff took literally 45 minutes to bring towels up the first day. 1 hr to bring up toilet tissue our last night (Call multiple times) the towels are OLD!!! I mean old. One set had the previous name on them (Pack your own or buy some at a good store) *the rooms are not as advertised. ESPECIALLY ROOM 106!!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION, TELL THEM TO NOT GIVE YOU ROOM 106!! (Until they update it or another person come along and say the problems are over).
Now the petty things: the breakfast. Sucks *there was a lizard in our room *our sliding door did not lock our room smelled (sewage) *our shower had some black stuff that I took as being mold *shower head had has rust & grime build up *if there was a tv package below basic cable… we had it. *the workout room was the absolute worst. (You’re better off just stretching in your room. The treadmill I’ll literally hurt your knee) *receptionist… attitude WAIT ONE LAST KNOCK. THEM AIRPLANES ARE SOOOOOO Freaking LOUD !!!!
Ps. I hope only room 106 is terrible. I mean we paid we for the second to lowest option. So maybe if you spend big bucks you’ll have a different...
Read moreI stayed at the La Villa Boutique Hotel for eight weeks in total and felt incredibly sad to leave, when the time arrived. The long stay was due to a work commitment in the city; one which necessitated also accommodating many colleagues at La Villa for varying amounts of time over the two months. Whether the stay was a few nights or several weeks, the service of the hotel staff was consistently impeccable every single time. Centrally located in Osu, within walking distance of the best bars, restaurants and nightlife Accra has to offer, La Villa has the feel of an extremely well-run guest house, but it’s a hotel. The property is huge and could probably accommodate a couple hundred rooms, but instead there are just over 40 rooms of various types and sizes, including a few fully-equipped apartments. Even the standard rooms are very spacious. The hotel has an intimate, home-away-from-home feel. The grounds are tropical and green which creates a gentle and peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant and swimming pool provide a wonderful entertainment enclave. The staff are intentionally well trained and their service is of the highest standard I’ve experienced almost anywhere. It’s hard not to notice their consistently kind, friendly, helpful and efficient demeanour throughout the various departments, from receptionists to restaurant staff to housekeepers and even security and groundsmen.
I highly recommend this establishment for both short and...
Read moreLa villa boutique feels like a comfortable homely environment away from home. First of all the staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. The airport pick-up by their driver was already at the airport waiting when I landed and did not need to wait. That was a very good first impression to begin with.|A very special thanks to the manager "Emelia" she is absolutely fantastic. Anything I needed help with, she was so helpful friendly and surprised me on my 'Birthday ' with beautiful pedals and a lovely cake. It was so caring for her to arrange with La villa staff to do such. |Also, "Catherine " the waiter at the restaurant during the breakfast shifts. Was always helpful and went that extra mile to make me comfortable each morning I came for breakfast. The Chef "Peter" made great food especially 'the grilled calamari '. The young waiter "Roland" was also very attentive and such a good worker. |The Executive room I stayed in was always clean, spacious had a nice balcony. Had a drying rack, Iron and Iron board which was helpful for me to Iron and hang my washed clothes. They also have a safe in their room which was helpful. |The location is great. Right in the middle of town in Osu. Everywhere, hospitals, popular shops, and restaurants were all close by.|I give this place 5 stars. I will definitely stay here again in my next stay in Ghana.|I recommend this place to stay, you...
