Pinocchio gelateri pizzeria (OSU) — Restaurant in Accra

I stopped by around 7 PM to pick up a takeaway order. Parking was available, and the place wasn’t crowded. The entrance to the restaurant is through the gelato shop, which felt a bit odd, especially since the vibe in the gelato area is completely different from the restaurant itself.

The restaurant is partially open-air and partially covered, with soft, pleasant lighting.

As for the food—it was just okay. We ordered a family-size “Pitaroni” pizza, which turned out to be two regular-sized pizzas placed side by side. We also got the lasagna and the crab pasta.

The lasagna was average at best. The texture was loose and messy, the pasta itself was fine but unremarkable, there wasn’t much cheese, and the overall flavor felt a bit bland.

The crab pasta was also just decent. It didn’t seem like they use fresh, homemade pasta—it felt store-bought. The tomato sauce tasted like it came from canned tomatoes rather than being freshly made.

Portion sizes were sufficient, but considering the taste and overall quality, the pricing felt too high for what we got.

I called in advance to ask if they had alfredo pasta. They said yes. When I came, they said their alfredo pasta is either the SPAGHETTI LA PIAZZA or the LINGUINI CARBONARA with alfredo sauce. I ordered the former. The food was horrible. The sauce tasted like it was made from a powder, the chicken tasted canned, and the noodles tasted flavorless. The dish tasted like it was made in 5 minutes. Why on earth was this dish 160 cedis? For cheap spaghetti noodles? The waitress who served me had her back to me for about 30 minutes before I finally got her attention to complain. When I complained about the quality of the food, the waitress interrogated me like I was a thief. She then called the manager who didn't even come to the table to apologize or address me. Then the waitress returned and coldly said, "Here is your bill." They did end up not charging me for the pasta, which I appreciate. That night, I became ill with food poisoning. I will not...

I’ve visited this restaurant so many times…. And It’s actually my FAVORITE restaurant in Accra!! The ambiance is great, so much greens, warm lights and super clean! The place is very well maintained! The food is just so delicious; I’ve tried their pizzas, pastas and several starters and they are all amazing so it’s safe to say that their food is 100%. And btw, their gelato is the best in town! The service is top notch… the best you can find in Accra in my opinion! The staff and manager (Ryan) are all so kind, warm, thoughtful, attentive and super nice! They also have such good drinks and cocktails! The music is very soothing and not loud so you can actually have conversations and a wonderful time with friends or alone! I just love, love this place!! I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this place!!
