Ever since I came back to Ghana last year from my stint in India I have visited Sunshine the most number of times till now and for good reason. I was introduced to the place by mother who would buy food from here.
As someone who enjoys sandwiches and rolls i can safely say that Sunshine's is one of the best if not the best. Their menu has a wide variety of items (vegetarian and non vegetarian). They're primarily known for their salads and sandwiches.
They're a small quaint little place and have seating for a maximum of 30-40 people. Their decor is nice and so is the ambience.
When it comes to portions they give a very filling amount and their sandwiches/rolls come with a healthy portion of fries to go along with it. They have fresh juices that you can have as well with various combinations. The ingredients they use are fresh. Also for people on a diet or who prefer eating healthy food then this place is a must visit as they have many items geared towards such clientele.
They also do catering services for parties and the likes. A selection of their salads is also available at Shoprite outlets in their bakery section.
Their prices are a little on the higher side but that's the price you pay for premium food.
This is definitely one of the places you should visit and there's a reason why it's so highly rated.
If I have one complaint about the place is that it's not open on Sundays which is a downer. Nonetheless visit it when you come to Ghana or are in the mood...
Read moreWish this place was better😔. Ordered the spring rolls, curry puffs, chip, the Mexican burger, some vegan wrap, and vegetables fried rice, all for take away. I never got the spring rolls or curry puffs, just 3 orders of chips, which had no seasoning at all. They weren't nice at all so I give it to some homeless kids. The vegan wrap was extremely oily. Tried to force my way to eat it but I couldn't (ate 1/3). The Mexican burger (vegan) was very oily too, you could even see the bun was covered in oil. I only took 1 bite and the rest saw the bin. It was way too oily. The fried rice was very average and basic, definitely not worth 120ghc. In total I paid 535ghc. Definitely over priced. The manu is also different from what you see online and more expensive. I only tried this place because of 'the Ghanavegan' on IG. and sorry not sorry, but the experience was very...
Read moreTheir salads come out like a marvel of structural engineering, you can barely believe they could be built so tall. Their fry cook is absolutely the best in all of accra, consistently producing fried goods that are golden crisp but not greasy, which requires the perfect cook temp. The fried tofu might be the most perfect fried tofu I’ve had anywhere in ghana or outside.
While some salads are all cold foods most are a combo of cold and cooked options. The Kung Fu Panda for example is like a delicious saucy noodle stir fry served warm on top of a bed of cold lettuce and cucumbers. So you may want to inquire what is cooked and what is fresh if you care.
Their dressings are creative and delicious. They should bottle and sell them especially the tahini one.
Staff is friendly and attentive. Atmosphere very comfortable
I only wish they stayed open...
