A Truly Disappointing Takeaway Experience at Landing Restaurant, Accra
I recently ordered a takeaway from Landing Restaurant in Accra, hoping to enjoy the well-regarded Landing Special Rice and Noodles with Chicken Sauce. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a complete disappointment, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a very long time.
First, the service was shockingly slow. Despite arriving with high expectations, the food took over 90 minutes to be prepared and delivered. It was frustrating to wait that long, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even busy, and there was no update or apology for the delay. When the food finally arrived, I couldn’t help but feel let down by what I was served.
The dish itself was a disaster. Both the rice and noodles were soggy and unappetising, and the chicken sauce did little to salvage the situation. To make matters worse, everything tasted burnt, which is simply inexcusable for any restaurant. I purchased two separate batches of food, hoping for a different experience, but both were equally disappointing. Everyone who tried the meal had the same feedback—it was an absolute mess.
The quantity of the chicken sauce in relation to the price was beyond disappointing—it felt like highway robbery. For the amount I paid, I expected not only better preparation and flavour, but also a reasonable serving size. The lack of chicken sauce was laughable for such an overpriced dish.
This experience was far from the Landing Restaurant I used to enjoy. The quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience fell well below expectations. The only saving grace was the humour of the waitress, who was friendly and lighthearted despite the circumstances. Unfortunately, no amount of good humour can make up for a truly terrible meal.
To sum up, Landing Restaurant failed to deliver on multiple fronts—service, food quality, and overall experience. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a decent takeaway in Accra. It’s unfortunate, as this place has a reputation, but based on my experience, it simply doesn’t live up...
Read moreOrdered via the Glovo app and 40 mins after accepting the order, the restaurant informed me that the order can't be fulfilled since they had ran out of the item i ordered - this was mid afternoon on a weekday
Even more infuriating was the fact that that was the SECOND call. The first call asked me to confirm what i had wanted AFTER 40 mins, After confirming the order, i got another call about 2 mins later saying that it was finished. I don't know why that wasn't clear on the first call . I don't even know if different people were involved in the 2 calls
Beside the fact that i ordered 40 mins earlier and they could have cancelled the order, getting a call from a large restaurant to say that the food you ordered has ran out is like an Uber driver calling to say that they have ran out of fuel after their last job. Surely , since it's mid-afternoon, they could have easily made more.
I'm never ordering...
Read moreThis is a nice place to get your lunch. They have this nice neat grass which you can sit there to eat.
The last time I visited there, which was two months ago, there was some sort of inserts in the grass, yes they bite but I suggest management treats the grass. it’s a nice place to eat.
But when you are not comfortable sitting outside. The indoor is very ok to eat from. They have a great wash room. The staff here are also neatly dressed and are polite.
Their car park is good. Note that they will charge you for parking but remember to get your ticket stamped at the restaurant and present same at the paying gate. This will prevent you from paying
When there, please try their Landing special rice you...
