Dimitris — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

I wish I had more chance to eat out at Dimitris, a pleasant family run restaurant with an amazing view to the port and cliffs. Very autenthic, fresh and tasty meals. Even the most simple dishes were the best compared to any other restaurants. There are specialities every day with the fine tuch of family recipes. Great service and laid back environment. The homemade desserts were hands down the best I had in Greece (also according to my girlfriend who is actually from Greece). Don't leave the island...

We had a drink at lunch then returned to eat in the evening. We ate the specials: a great moussaka and delicious roast chicken in lemon sauce with roast potatoes. With a village salad. Ouzo and white wine followed by half a litre of red wine. Finished with Metaxa and a whisky. Great service All for €60 including tip.

We returned two more nights. Great roast lamb in lemon. Then Yannis said he would get us some good fish for our last night. We ate a large fish. Possibly red bream. Highly recommend...

Didn't stay at hotel. Ate at restaurant for dinner (pizza, salad & another recommended Greek speciality) family owned, home made and deliciously fresh. Spiced and favored well.
