We've been here multiple times over the years, and it has always been a reliable choice for an above average meal. It was not a great experience this evening, though, with my wife starting with fish soup and then a main of tuna souvlaki, both from the specials. Asked about the tuna potentially being dry prior to ordering, but the waiter insisted it wouldn't be. I went simple, with stuffed vine leaves and a main of pastitsio. My food was above average, as ever. My wife's soup was OK, but no real depth of flavour. Lo and behold, her tuna was dry. She ate most of it but had to leave two chunks. Upon collecting the plates, the waiter (a different one) asked why the two chunks were left. My wife said it was OK but a bit dry, at which point the waiter stuck his finger in one of the remaining pieces of tuna and pressed down, which at the time seemed very rude. The atmosphere was good, though, even though only half full. I would say be careful what you order. Being a special, the tuna was very expensive (as was the soup), which we only found out when the bill came....

Read moreThank you to all the staff at Klimatis for a fantastic first night in Kefalonia. This was one of the few restaurants that was still open, and indeed until late, during our recent stay and we were welcomed with open arms. The customer service was astounding and truly highlighted the exceptional hospitality of Greek people. The food was of the highest quality and the ingredients tasted so fresh (the whole seabass was a particular highlight!). The staff were incredibly kind to us, going above and beyond with a surprise dessert of Greek yoghurt and grapes in a sugar syrup, as well as providing us milk and water for our accommodation as the shops had shut for the night. We loved our meal so much, we decided to return on our last night where we were even gifted a jar of those delicious grapes! One of the members of our party had already left but the staff remembered and asked after him. Would highly recommend this restaurant in a beautiful location by the...
