I will present the whole experience from the start to the end, so it's gonna be quite a long text. The terrace is poorly isolated from above, it gets insufferably hot and they only turned on the ventilators (which were also useless) after we asked them like 4 times. Then we got to the actual ordering: somebody in my group was slightly indecisive (only took him 2 more minutes to decide), however the waiter was clearly angry and made a comment along the lines of "come on, you already had one hour to decide what you want to eat". I then asked for a Pita Gyros WITHOUT tomato, onion and sauce, conditions to which the waiter agreed and he confirmed that he understood them (while still being quite pissed). As you would expect, a couple of minutes later the Gyros showed up, full of the stuff I specifically asked him NOT to include. Given their general attitude, I was afraid of asking for a new one for free...Who know what they would add while prepairing it :) So therefore I ordered a new one, paying for both items. When the second one showed up, the food was at most average, scoring for about a 4/10. I should also note that we ordered an item which never came, but it showed up on the check.
Also!!! Despite the fully open space, you cannot smoke anything inside the taverna, regardless of it being a regular cigarette or an IQOS.
I would recommend avoiding this horrible place at all costs, I think any of the neighbouring tavernas are miles better. Don't get fooled by the number of...
Read moreWe came here the first time and were welcomed and sat in a lovely spot in the restaurant (we were a family of 4) we got our drinks quickly and and were served lovely food by an amazing waiter, whom I guess is the head waiter. He is energetic, he has a sense humor which we all found hilarious! We enjoyed our meals which weren't to expensive aswell. The second time we came we were seated almost immediately and the funny waiter was also there, making the whole dinner pleasant and comfortable. Both times we came at 8:30 pm, which is preferablely the best time to come as you can see the town at night and the plaza is filled with children playing and having fun, but not making a disturbance to the dinner. It is also warm, but cool at this time and you can almost see the sun go down and night hits. I do recommend this place as occasionally cats have a wander round the restaurant, with no begging or making a nuisance. It is definitely worth a visit to the restaurant and the moussaka and meatballs are most...
Read moreAlthough we have been coming to Skala for many years we have somehow never eaten here before. What a mistake! The servers are super friendly, happy to make up a table last minute to accommodate our group. The food choices were good for all our different requirements. My friend and I shared a veggie plate and my husband and friend shared a meat platter. There's a good kids menu and lots of other options. The chicken giros were appreciated by the teens who were unable to finish it all. The veggie plate was delicious, a sort of meze with a bit of everything, which completely defeated us. The boys ploughed through their meat plate though! And apparently the chicken nuggets were 'good', which is a compliment believe me! It was so good we went a second night and will definitely add La Luna to our list of must go places for...
