O Tzivas — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

The food at O'Tzivas is seriously good. Our yacht crew of 4 stopped off in Poros on a sailing trip last week, and all of us were impressed with the different dishes we ordered. We also stopped off in Ithaca, Zakynthos and other parts of Kefalonia. We had some good meals in all of those places. But the food at O'Tzivas is not just the best in Poros, but the best we ate anywhere during our fortnight. We live in Manchester in the UK, where there are a lot of very good restaurants. O'Tzivas compares favourably with many of those too (and is a lot less expensive). As other reviewers have said, the chef runs the place pretty much single-handed, so service can take a while. This place is a Greek-French culinary secret surprise. Ever seen duck on a Greek menu? I hadn't! But it's delicious! One of the most unique, most special restaurants I've come across in over 30 years of travel to many Greek islands! No joke. When you get tired of your typical Greek taverna, just come here! Or come here first and make everything else seem average and boring...

Absolutely the very best dinner we’ve had in Greece! The menus are presented on chalk boards, along with the chef specials of the day. We ordered the stuffed red peppers as a starter, roasted and stuffed with feta cheese. Our mains were stuffed durade and grilled sea bass with a special sauce.
