DO NOT GO!!!! Can't imagine how this place got such reviews. We have been to numerous restaurants, but such a dissapointment didn't have until today. We went for a lunch at Agrapidos-Poros, and found several tables dining, it was not crowded. The hosts were pleasant. The restaurant is in an old house, ground floor. Looks like it needs a detailed cleaning. Some odd smell could be noticed on the terrace. Like some dead animal near by. Only the panoramic view is unforgettable, but as appears, it comes with high cost Anyway, we ordered a salad, fried potatoes, tzatziki and garlic bread for start. We ordered fried calamari, grilled octopus and grilled sea bream. A Greek anthology in seafood. We got the salad which was OK, but everything else was a big dissapointment: the tzatziki was warm and started to turn sour, the potatoes were at list 2 hours old and contained hair, the bread was literally swimming in olive oil. The octopus was not well prepared and cut into small pieces - like gyros, containing only the head of an octopus. The calamari had sand in it. The fish was not cooked well and not eatable due the strange smell and taste, so we were afraid to eat it. Maybe the owner thinks that the tourists don't understand the Greek kitchen, but I can figure what would happen if in our place was a local family. Shame on 47 euros per nothing. DO NOT GO!!!! There are better places in the...
Read moreI visited this tavern in Kefalonia expecting a warm, traditional, family and friendly Greek experience—as they proudly advertise—but unfortunately, it was a disappointment.
The place presents itself as a traditional Greek tavern, but their attitude and service were anything but hospitable. The red wine I was served was extremely sour, almost like vinegar.( Which can happen) So I asked for an upgraded version instead, but they refused to take the bad one away—even after I clearly said I didn’t want it anymore. In the end, they charged me for both bottles—the undrinkable one I barely touched and the new one I actually ordered.
The waiter was rude and completely dismissive. There was no effort to understand or respect the guest’s experience. It felt like they cared only about money, not about hospitality or tradition.
The view was genuinely beautiful—that’s the only real positive. But no view can make up for being treated with such disregard. .
Felt more like a tourist trap. A confusing, disappointing experience. Not...
Read moreOne of the best place in Kefalonia. Family run place, and NO WASPS! 😉😉😉THE chef and the boss is preparing a perfect way to make your stay enjoyable. The food incredible, all of them. Pretty big warily. Place is beautiful. U can enjoy a taverna feeling. They friendly. Prices really good. Portion good. In Friday and Saturday they have charcoal grill lamb pork goat. Don't miss this place , if u wanna eat a special geek cuisine. Try the lamb , and the red snapper. The menu is hand written, I loved it! U can see the kitchen while you're food being prepared!Wine red or white! Don't miss it, 5 star!
And! Try the agrapidos octopus! But ! Beware! If u try, u will taste the real method, how octopus should be done! It's soft, not gummy, it's gonna melt in your mouth. And if u try, u will send back to lots of places, cause it's the 5 🌟making it! From wine don't order robola. Ask for muscat. Delicious, good for all foods.
Agrapidos, good job, keep up the spirit! U are the taverna leader for me...
