I had a truly wonderful dining experience at this lovely taverna in Poros. The highlight was definitely the fresh fish, which was cooked to perfection – full of flavor and simply delicious. Along with it, I tried the grilled prawns, kalamari, white taramas, and of course a classic horiatiki salad. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and beautifully prepared, just the way Greek food should be. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a glass of Robola, the traditional wine of Kefalonia, which paired perfectly with the seafood and added a special local touch to the evening. The atmosphere of the taverna is truly magical – very cozy, romantic, and with an incredible view of the sea, especially at sunset. Sitting there with the colors of the sky reflecting on the water while enjoying such great food was an unforgettable experience. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality offered. It’s the kind of place where you feel both relaxed and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this taverna to anyone visiting Poros – whether for a romantic evening or simply to enjoy excellent fresh seafood in a...
Read moreThis restaurant is in a nice location, but nothing special. We were there in the evening with two years old child. We were waiting like 5-10 minutes before someone came to us. Nobody brought us even water or menu. People who came later than us, were served earlier. And they even saw that we have a small child and waiting for small children is rather but difficult. Waiters and waitresses weren't dressed very properly for a restaurant (more like for the beach). One of the boys was walking like a zombie (probably already very tired). The food was very salty and laying in the oil. They didn't told us any special offers. And we were waiting like 1/2 hour to pay and even I told it like 3x times. I understand, that there were many people, I understand that's already almost end of the season, but there was like no respect for the small child and and the behaviour could be more...
Read moreA wonderful place to eat. Felt like I was going back to the times of Zorba the Greek. Lovely feel to the place and view.
So, the food. The taramasalata was gorgeous. The Potato of Shame was inadequate, the octopus pasta was yummy, as was the Pork Belly, the homemade burgers and the sardine dish.
More chips please with dishes and main dishes should come out together.
The staff are professional but need to smile and make you feel like they are enjoying their job. That is was hospitality is all about. But the were nice chaps underneath the grim faces.
Next time I'm in Kefalonia I wouldn't...
