I'm just coming to the end of my 3rd stay at The Harbour View and I return again in 13 weeks time for my 4th stay. We love staying here, Alex is amazing and we are always made welcome and they will do anything to help you. The apartments have got an amazing view of the harbour and we like to sit on our balcony watching the ferries and the world go by. The rooms are very clean and serviced every day. The air conditioning is wonderful also.|I've read reviews about the harbour being noisy when the ferry comes in but I've not noticed it and I certainly have not heard it during the night. If you stay near a harbour then what do you expect? The people who complain about things like this are probably the same ones who complain that the stones on the beach hurt their feet or the sea was to cold, the beach had a wasp on it or the local taverna was busy because it was full of Greeks! 🙄. Take the 2 separate reviewers who have both left bad reviews who obviously stayed at the Harbour View together, maybe they should stay in Skala next time! For the one who complained that they couldn't find the beach then I suggest a trip to have their eyes tested is in order because it's big enough. |If your staying at The Harbour View then you can use the pool at The Oceanis as long as you buy drinks or snacks from the pool bar. They will even collect you and take you to the Oceanis. They will also take you into the village and bring you back. |Anyway I've just booked June 2024 which will be my 5th visit and I will be booking for my 6th...
Read moreAmazing view, perfect for watching the world go by. Some previous reviews have complained about the noise from the ferries. The ferry only comes in 4 times a day, and, yes, there is some hustle and bustle associated with this, but, we personally love watching everyday life and it was great to see this in a picture postcard setting. The night time ferry comes 6 days a week, but we honestly never heard a thing. |As for the apartments, they are basic, but huge! They have 2 separate bedrooms, ideal for families or 2 groups of friends. Well equipped kitchen, and of course an amazing balcony with that view! |A strong feature of this property is the owners, who really can't do enough for you. They are so helpful and friendly. They also own the Oceanis Hotel, which is a 12 minute walk away, with a pool which is free to use. Our Aircon (which was free) wasn't working, and the owner literally dropped what he was doing at the hotel and drove down to sort it immediately. Also, on our last day, we had a late pick up, and we requested somewhere secure to leave our bags. The owner let us stay in our room until the early evening , meaning we could shower and keep our bags safe for an extra day. Nothing was too much trouble. We also had breakfast at the hotel on our first morning, which was lovely, a good selection of food with a fantastic view, all for 6 Euros each! |All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend this property. A great base from which to explore beautiful Poros and the surrounding area. Bring sturdy...
Read moreWe stayed in an apartment with two rooms, 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen. The price for the apartment was really ok for the period, but the place itself was a bit below expectations. The beds were a little uncomfortable, the bathroom was very small and smelled most of the time. You would get a bit claustrophobic in there. The only good and amazing thing about the apartment was the terrace and the view of the harbour. It was big and the view absolutely amazing. The good part is that the sun shined a little in the morning but afterwards it was shadow, perfect to stay there. The rooms had AC but it was old and made so much noise, as the units are right outside and if you slept with the door opened it was a lot of noise. But we got used to that. The other room faced a corridor and the window was also a door, you could get outside, no need for a front door. It didn't have a net, just a window blind that you would pull down until the floor. And if you wanted to get some air you had to leave everything open and one night a small lizard came in. Funny but not so much. All in all it was an ok experience, but i don't think i would stay their again. 3 stars are mostly for the terrace...
