Pizza Al Forno — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

Pretty bad food and terrible service. The manager was absolutely rude. She has no clue how to run the place and train her waiters. We were four people and the restaurant was empty as it was quite early for dinner. We tried to sit in a table but the aircondition was very low and we felt freezing. We asked to be moved but there was no other real table for four some were squeezed in a table for two and when I asked to make a change to put two tables together they told as that that is a table for four and the other table is an exception. We ordered a salad and four main courses, they brought the drinks in the middle of the table and when the salad arrived they didn't have space to put it and the waiter have it to my friends hand and walked away! And we were left holding the salad on our hands! The salad was ok but quite price for what it was. Then on the main course I had a pesto that was made with 90% spinach instead of basil and it wasn't written on the menu as spinach pesto, my friend order a pasta with lemon sauce that was a pasta with double cream and a slice of lemon and my boyfriend had a pizza that the dough looked decent in the beging but after trying it we realised that it was uncooked. A the thing with the waiter that give you the plate on your hand and let you find your space or eat on your laps was repeated in two out of four mains. I've been here multiple times in the past. This place once had the best pizza in Argostolion. I know this because last year I made bills of 100+ euros here. Yesterday, we ordered pizza from here and the quality has dropped sharply. The pineapple pizza was so tasteless even the haters felt unable to hate it!!!

We spent around 42 euros and they don't deliver to our place which is a 15 minute drive from the restaurant so we had to drive until 3 kilometers from the restaurant, which is their maximum delivery range. Note: The order was by phone so they keep all the money and they don't even consider the option of charging for the delivery service or stating a minimum order.

Note to the owner: 3 kilometers is walking distance. If I lived 3 kilometers or fewer away I would have walked to the restaurant.

For comparison: In Heraklion you could order from almost everywhere in the city and for longer ranges they charged a delivery fee and had a minimum order cost to deliver. And that was with even with efood which charges a commission per order.

All I know is if you want your business to work better, you need to make an effort to offer a service and quality food instead of lowering quality and increasing prices to make a profit.

It was the first time I paid for food and I never ate it because they never brought it to us. We ordered 1 salad and 2 spaghetti, the salad came relatively quickly (within 15 minutes from the time of ordering) but the spaghetti never came. When after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting (for the spaghetti) we made very polite complaints, the waitress told us that now they are preparing our dishes (obviously they had forgotten about them). We immediately asked for the bill because obviously the dishes would not come (here I should mention that I had with me all my 2 five-year-old children) they normally charged us the entire amount including the main dishes that never came. 61 euros for food we never ate. Unacceptable service, unacceptable behavior, unacceptable restaurant.
