It's only right and fair I review without bias. A city centre hotel that is functional and well positioned next to the square amid several restaurants. A short 5 minute flat walk to the waterfront stayed for 7 days solo Senior male, Breakfast is buffet with plenty of choice both sweet and savoury inc local delicacies. The ladies in charge of breakfast are helpful and friendly. I booked a standard single room and that is exactly what I got, small but clean ( fresh towels everyday) it is basic but everything is there Inc double bed which takes up 3/4 of the floor area. The balcony was a disappointment in both size and view. There was room for 2 small metal garden bistro chairs but not a little table, the view was overlooking the outdoor dining area of a local Italian restaurant and back yard of hotel. Sitting on the balcony on an evening was uncomfortable with people dining below, them staring up and me staring down, so sunset drinks were not had on the balcony.curtains needed to be drawn to avoid people seeing into the room Inc toilet/shower times. Maybe hotel should consider additional net curtains ( room photos attached) The location next to the square meant that the party bars open till 3am could be heard very clearly especially the bass notes reverberating from around 10pm Conclusion A good base, clean and well appointed ,but, bare in mind it states city centre, it doesn't say holiday hotel. It lends itself more to a business stay rather than holiday...

Read moreWho would have thought that one could totally fall in love with a place after barely spending a week in it? Not us but yet that was the feeling as we boarded the flight from Kefalonia to Stockholm. The mere week we spent was filled with every day adventures exploring as much as possible of what Kefalonia had to offer. Contributing to our love for this island was of course the people and places that were gracious enough to host us. We would like to express our greatest thanks to Hotel Mirabel and its staff for contributing to a wonderful guest experience in Kefalonia. Not only was the hotel in prime location with wonderful art deco design and great Greek breakfast that kept one sustained during days of exploits but also a safe haven to retreat after late nights of zebeikko and ouzo. A huge thank you to the house keeping lady and Rosa at breakfast for always greeting us with a smile in the morning. Our sincerest gratitude to big boss Maikis and ”Flutur” at the front desk for your help and patience for our craziness. You guys are the best! Fondest greetings from the...
