Having to rate 1 star as we wanted to stay for drinks only late afternoon while’s visiting the beach. (My husband likes to sit out of the way in the shade) Told all tables booked and not able to have drinks. The said tables sat empty for the 2 hours of our visit to the beach! This is sad for ourselves and the owners as due to the reviews and recommendations we would have came back another evening for food but due to this poor service and attitude they lost custom on the day and on another evening.

I am aware how professional hospitality works. As stated your tables were empty for the whole 2 hours we were at the beach. I see you must not read and do not like honest reviews from previous replies you have made to others who leave less than 5 stars. I cannot give 5 stars for food as I did not eat there! The 1 star is for poor service.. customer satisfaction and atmosphere. As I said poor service, maybe staff should attend customer service training or look to reading your reservations.
I’m sure from my previous review you can see I do travel respectfully and give good reviews when warranted.
I hope your endeavour continues to thrive but as you know it will not be to the satisfaction of all.
Primarily a restaurant on a beach. I have never known one not serve a customer drinks if not eating food when they have empty tables!
Dear sea salt owner
As mentioned and which you seem to refuse to acknowledge the tables were empty for 2 hours!
I like to give an honest review for others of the amenities around the beach of which yours is one.
Service was poor as the attitude of staff was dismissive and rude when asking about seating for drinks at the time. So this then is not conductive to a good atmosphere.
I spend 2 hours on an ok beach- nothing stunning about it! Worst beach we visited during our visit to the island that’s why I’ve made no comment.
Yes 1 star for service and atmosphere as afore mentioned.
It not about me not getting what I wanted it’s about an honest review of a service not provided. Of course people will expect drinks from a bar/restaurant on a beach in the late afternoon. Again the tables were empty Which you refuse to acknowledge.
My review is genuine and honest as this is what happened and I want people to understand you don’t get to have drinks here just food and drinks and your manner is not polite when told this! I believe all feedback is valuable, especially to others that have not visited before. It would have certainly been valuable to us to know this.
Just because I do not fit your general dataset (keyboard heroism- not a term! Or Outlier) of reviews does not make my feedback any less valuable.
You don’t need to explain business economics to me but you may have made more money from me so maybe you need to explain it to yourself. (Empty tables are not making money) Maybe others don’t leave feedback who wanted just drinks as they cannot be bothered to reply to conversations like this!
As a business not to be a a customers disposal is a terrible reply. Sounds like you don’t put customers first. We were courteous when enquiring and met with poor service and replies from yourself to an honest review explain how...
Read moreA very good restaurant, with good food, nice seaview, and friendly staff.
This is what we served: For starters, I had the Feta in the oven and it was amazing, incredibly tasty thanks to its tomato sauce, peppers & oregano. They had Scallops on the menu and neither me or my girlfriend ever tried them, so we decided to order them. They were good, maybe they could have been a little better cooked because they had a slight sea water taste which led us to believe they may have been slightly undercooked... but they definitely had an interesting taste. And we also tried the Tuna tataki but its topping was too spicy and we weren't able to feel much of the taste of the avocado or the tuna because of that. I would definitely order this dish without the spicy topping because it ruins it, in my opinion. Next we each tried 2 salads: I tried the Tuna Caesar and she tried the Mediterranean fig salad. They were both delicious. The Tuna Caesar had a very delicious dressing, as well as the tuna itself which was delicious and fresh. For the mains, we were too stuffed to each order something so we both had the Swordfish steak. It was very good, properly cooked, not dry, we just feel that it's not the tastiest fish out there :) but it was fresh and it was from the sea, so we enjoyed it. For dessert, we had a slice of Salted Caramel cheesecake, which was absolutely divine! The cheesy middle was so creamy but somewhat cold, and the salted caramel was just so good, plus it didn't feel too sweet.
P.S. The Eza Pilsner is a nice beer, with some flavor in it. For those that don't want a light beer and prefer something with a slightly...
Read moreVisited for dinner. Very nice location. Food was overall pretty good, especially the starters ceviche and tuna tartar(both 5/5). Mains: sea bream filet was good but almost half the portion we had in a restaurant nearby. Tuna filet was ok. Service: As we aware that Greek restaurants tend to bring the mains immediately after the starters, we specified to our waitress to have some time in between, which was confirmed. About 3min after we finished our starters our mains arrived already. Not acceptable for a restaurant of this price range. To specify, this was probably not the waitress fault(both girls were overal very friendly), as I saw her discussing about this issue. Most likely the kitchen decided to just make the dishes(?) After some excuses by the waitress, she told us 'she would make it up', which never happened(no drink on the house or discount or whatsoever).
UPDATE: Service: It was really not that busy and not all tables were filled. Also we had our starters around 9u15. It don't think it's a big thing to ask to have 15min in between starters and mains - whatever the kitchen flow is - especially when it was asked while ordering and confirmed by the waitress.
Food: As said, the starters were 5/5. The tuna steak was a little stringy in some parts. Maybe I just had bad luck? Still 4/5 for me, just not as good as the tuna starter. Fillet was good, just a smaller portion than we had in other restaurants.
When visiting Kefalonia again, we will give the restaurant another try as food was overall fine as I...
