Πλατεία Οινομαγειρείο — Restaurant in Athens

When we arrived, there were several unoccupied tables. We asked for a table, the waitress said there weren't any free. Then a man, perhaps the host, came and told us they would accommodate us. He got a small round table and two chairs out and squeezed them on the street among the other tables. Then they forgot about us. They gave us no menu, no table pads, no glasses, nothing. The waitress served the table next to ours; then I couldn't see her anymore. The man was all around us: welcoming guests with reservations, hugging a friend mid-street, talking to other people, looking at us and ignoring us totally.

It was very disrespectful.

Worst potatoes imaginable. Hard as a rock and seemed reheated 10 times. It was difficult to get the attention of the waiter and in the end I waved to ask for the bill because I wanted to go. I explained the problem and he offered nothing, not even fresh chips or a sweet or anything to compensate. Food quality very poor here and they clearly don't appreciate their customers so avoid. Much better places...

A really nice place in the heart of Petralona. A place which reminds of the old Athens, while people lived with simplicity in their neighbourhoods, yet in the center of Athens, close to every historical monument even ny foot. You can relax on the square with the excellent food provided by oinomageirion and you will be amazed by the low prices for the quality of food....
