The food here was quite splendid. The only thing that bothered me only a little bit is the dryness of the steaks but they were still flavourful and not that chewy. The fried cheese was amazing, the salad was fresh and refreshing and their draft wine was great. The part that amazed me the most are the portions for the price. Considering how their main plates are only around 10-12 euro, the portions were massive. Whether it was beef, lamb or even chicken, the quantity was so generous. A local restaurant that gives small but good menu. The food is very good and comes sizzling to you straight from the grill. The staff was somewhat distracted and not very efficient when we visited, even though the place wasn't full. Still, the dishes were worth the wait and came sizzling and perfect to our table. The price are very good for the amount and quality of food, clearly aimed at local visitors and not tourists. I have traveled all over Greece and it's islands. I have eaten many meals and had many wonderful culinary experiences. This tavern will forever be remembered as The Best Greek Meal I have ever had! If you find yourself in Athens, Please grab a meal there. I promise you will never be disappointed. The sweet older women who runs the kitchen should be a culinary legend.
