METRO cafe — Restaurant in Athens

Friday 23rd Sep 2022. We went to take breakfast there, which consisted in two simple coffee with milk (but converted at convenience of the bartender in 'capuccino') and a packed croissant With chocolate filling -cut in two pieces- and two glasses of tap water (served by courtesy). Despite not being in a touristic and central area and not to be an special caffe bar, the price we paid was 9, 50 €. Additionally, I am not sure which of these 3 elements was spoiled ( if the milk, the tap water or the croissant) , but me and my partner got our stomaches troubled and with sever diarrhea ; symptoms that conditioned a big part of that day and additionally part of the day after. First: the black coffee was much too watery, even an American would not like it. Second: the interior is ment to be luxury, but it’s kind of cheap in the design. And finally: ordered a coffee an then took a seat. Then the waiter came to tell me that I had payed for a take away price.
