This authentic Greek restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the moment you step inside. The food at Λοστρέ Κουζίνα is excellent. Each dish showcases the rich culinary heritage of Greece, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A standout on the menu is the mixed grill, which is a huge feast perfect for sharing. It features an assortment of perfectly grilled meats, each bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. One of the standout aspects of Λοστρέ Κουζίνα is its affordability. Unlike many eateries in the more tourist-heavy areas of Athens, this restaurant offers great quality at reasonable prices, making it an excellent choice for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy an authentic Greek meal without breaking the bank. We went here for our first meal in Greece, a late lunch, after having arrived at our Athens Airbnb. It was only a short block away, and we horoughly enjoyed the experience. It’s a family run place off the tourist path, but conveniently located within walking distance of many historic and cultural sights. The sweet woman who runs the restaurant has invested a great deal of thought and care into preparing the menu, and she made us feel right at home. We ordered a green salad with paper thin fresh pear slices, toasted hazelnuts, and a smooth, rich citrus dressing that was not tart or too sweet. We also had a small basket of savory light pastry filled with cheeses and thin beef slices. We shared a platter of assorted grilled meats with lightly grilled vegetables. The food was fantastic, the prices reasonable, and the service was very attentive and friendly.

Really beautiful local restaurant in Athens. Service was a little slow on the night we went and waited between the starters and mains, but didn’t mind so much as you’re in a very local area enjoying a beer in the sun and enjoying the surroundings. Food was fantastic, really good ingredients and flavour. Personally I would recommend to have a selection of the starters/small dishes as the main dish was really good, but not quite as good as the amazing starting dishes.

When I was still living in Athens, this was my favourite ever restaurant. I almost never ordered a main dish; the mezze were enough to be in food heaven. Try the grilled mushrooms, the grilled vegetables, Greek salad, fava, spicy cheese dip (which is not that spicy), fried zucchini balls, fries… delicious. I really miss this place. They have a very cute back garden, it’s nice to sit there with a larger group (in which case I’d advice to make a reservation).
