Google maps shows this restaurant as being right on the corner but it is actually about one or two doors down. Owner was sitting outside as we approached and when we asked if we were at the right place, he immediately jumped up and was eager to help. There were tables inside and the owner told us it would be hot inside. Fair. We decided to sit outside so it would be cooler and it was in the shade for dinner. Owner quickly put together two tables to seat our party of 4. As we reviewed the menu we couldn’t decide and the owner said he could make a sampler plate with things so we could try a little bit of everything. We thought that was a great idea. The platter included tzatziki, a salad with cheese, meatballs, sausages, and patties. We also ordered the fried cheese separately. We had two water bottles and I had a glass of rose. As we were wrapping up, a local stopped by and sat down to eat or maybe socialize with the owner. The total price for 4 of us was extremely reasonable. Owner was very nice and helpful. We chose this place because I read reviews from local people. We want to support local businesses and have real food. Sadly I did not take any photos like I...
Read moreOn our vacation to Athens, we were searching Google for a "hole-in-the-wall" less touristy restaurant to get authentic Greek food. Based on reviews, we chose this place and it did not disappoint! We ended up eating there a second time during our vacation because it was that good! Handwritten menu, cash only. The owner was so friendly and hospitable and cooked the food himself. Some of the best food we had the whole trip. My husband and I split everything: a Greek salad with fresh ingredients and a whole block of feta, Tzatziki with pita, a mix plate of meats (sausage and meatballs) with fried potatoes meant for 2 people to share. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. It's not a fancy place, but that was exactly what we were looking for! Highly...
Read moreThis was the best little tavern/cafe! All of the meals we ate in Greece were fantastic, but the owner here was so warm and welcoming! I had just met the man in 2016, but even on that first encounter, I felt like I had met family. He was my first Ouzo. We enjoyed that meal and the conversation. It was just such a comfortable atmosphere for our first time in Greece. The food was delicious. I can't wait to go back again to see my friend! Thank you for such great service that I remember it from all...
