I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish, the experience was simply outstanding.

Siamo arrivati e ci siamo accomodati chiedendo una gentilezza, visto che stiamo viaggiando con macchina e tenda, cioè di farci mettere i ghiacci del frigo portatile in frizer e ci fanno il favore di metterli. Ci portano i menù e come antipasti leggiamo " Oyster, che vuol dire Ostriche... La prima opzione erano le ostriche e la seconda le ostriche fritte: noi ordiniamo le prime. Quando arriva l'ordine ci portano le cozze fritte, al che noi capiamo che nemmeno sanno cosa vuol dire Oyster o che forse in Grecia le cozze le chiamano così invece che Mussels... E va beh. Come secondo sempre di pesce avevamo ordinato il merluzzo gratinato in salsa di aglio. Le opzioni erano sempre tra merluzzo gratinato con la salsa e il merluzzo fritto, noi ordiniamo sempre il primo, visto che il fritto non ci interessava proprio quella sera e visto che ci siamo dovuti già mangiare le cozze fritte. Niente, il cameriere arriva con due piatti con sopra una bella fetta di merluzzo panato e fritto accompagnato con dell'insalata di verza viola e non ricordo cosa (totalmente scondita) e al posto della salsa d'aglio troviamo un purè acidulo con mezzo chilo di aglio. Lo sconcerto è talmente alto che non riusciamo nemmeno a commentare e a farci cambiare i piatti. La fame era tanta e quindi iniziamo a mangiare comunque la pietanza di nuovo sbagliata. Purtroppo, essendo cuoco, capisco molte tattiche dei ristoratori... Il fritto nasconde meglio l'odore di vecchio, ecco perché ci hanno sbagliato (forse) appositamente le pietanze. In effetti più mangiavo questo merluzzo e più mi sentivo male, ma forse era anche il vino, la stanchezza... Quindi alla fine finisco il piatto. Andiamo a chiedere il conto, abbastanza basso, (e ci credo)... e richiediamo i ghiacci al cameriere che con tutta la tranquillità del mondo ce li riporta freddi di frigo. Ce ne andiamo sconvolti... ma non finisce qui. Purtroppo la notte mi sento male ma riesco comunque a dormire abbastanza, vista la stanchezza dei tanti viaggi. La cosa più grave è che, appena mi alzo, mi viene un senso di nausea e stanchezza così forti da andare al pronto soccorso. Praticamente ho passato una giornata intera con forti nausee e dolori quasi fino allo svenimento e anche se ho cercato di prendere molte cose anche forti per digerire non ci sono riuscito fino alla sera dove ho iniziato a riprendere un po' il fiato e le forze. Ora credo che chiamerò i responsabili dei controlli sanitari perché è giusto così, sperando di evitare questa tragica disavventura a qualcun'altro, visto che con certe cose ci si può ammalare o addirittura morire.

Ma cosa ti puoi aspettare da un ristorante che sul menù scrive "Pasta all'oglio"?

Spero che vi faranno una multa immensa e che chiudiate...

We visited Mirovolos several times during our staying at Ioannina and every time was better than the previous.

The service (waiters) make you immediately feel welcomed. They rush to find you a table, help with the menu and accommodate any reasonable need you might have.

The menu itself is huge. Many many options for starters and for main courses as well as a good selection for drinks (wines, beers and tsipouro - a locally-produced drink).

The food is well-cooked, is served quite fast, and the portions are HUGE. At no point we had any complaints about the food, always tasty and well presented.

Moreover, every time we ate there the restaurant also offered us complementary desert - a gesture we greatly appreciated.
