When you first enter this establishment , you are greeted with a sign displaying the words “traditional Greek food”. This statement could not be further from the truth as the restaurant has devolved from its classic nature into a wannabe “hip” restaurant which serves the classic Greek food that we all love and absolutely ruins every single good thing about it. As soon as we received our first dish, a “traditional” Greek salad, it was a horrible sign for the horrors that were to come. The salad was for some reason topped with sriracha mayonnaise which destroyed the amazing taste of the iconic dish. Every dish that followed after was more of the same deconstructed and horrible food. Nothing was served as expected and all of the dishes were horribly surprising and disgusting. This restaurant needs to return to its traditional roots before they ruin their good reputation amongst the community. Frankly, my day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable. The only positive aspect of this whole experience was that the scenery, the only thing that hasn’t changed since the...
Read moreThere's no denying that the place is pretty, with a lovely garden where we sat and enjoyed the evening. The jazzy elevator-style tunes, while initially relaxing, became monotonous after a while. It felt like a tourist-pleasing choice, and we wished for something different.
The menu went beyond traditional Greek cuisine, attempting to cater to a wide range of culinary preferences. This made it pricier compared to other options in the area. However, the food itself was excellent, particularly the meat dishes. Whether it was the chicken, pork, or even the hamburgers, everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The portions were also generous, and we washed it all down with some refreshing beer.
The dessert options were a bit limited, and the absence of tea and the availability of only capsule coffee were disappointing downsides.
Considering the overall experience, the price of approximately 25 euros per person felt fair for an enjoyable...
Read moreWe ate lunch at Seirios restaurant at Friday 4.10.19, ~17:30. We got recommandations about this place from the hotel where we stayed (La Suite). The place is nice - they have a very big yard, with a fountain at the middle. We sat indoor. The service was comsi-comsa, as the waiter wasn't so available for us (we asked to return one of the salads that we didn't like - it was too salty and to so tasty, but instead the waiter brought us another one). They have a very big menu, with a variety of Italin, Greec and fusion food. The food is OK in general, not all the dishes are excellent (e.g. - the Salmon fish wasn't the best one we ate in Greece). The dishes aren't big - e.g. the Souflaki comes with only one skewer. The prices are at the mid-high range (in Greece of course). In general - the place is nice, but you can find better places in Ioanina...
