Τα ξύδια στη λίμνη — Restaurant in Ioannina Municipality

We visited this restaurant hoping for a pleasant dining experience, especially with its partial view of the lake. While the location had potential, the overall experience was disappointing. One interesting aspect was that the staff could speak English, which in some cases can add to the local charm.

We ordered a smoky burger, but to our surprise, it tasted more like liver meat. This was not mentioned on the menu, and the taste was far from what we expected. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy it at all, but we had no choice but to eat it. Additionally, we ordered an appetizer, a type of fried bread with smoked bacon and Philadelphia cream inside. We had tried a similar dish at another restaurant before, but this version was of much lower quality in both taste and texture.

To make matters worse, we ordered another burger, but they served us another food. We had to wait a long time for them to prepare it again, and by the time it finally arrived, one of our meals had already gone cold, completely disrupting our dining experience.

Overall, this visit was a disappointment. The food quality was far below our expectations, and the delays and issues with our order made it even worse. We couldn’t even enjoy the lake view because the poor food experience overshadowed everything else. Unfortunately, this was our first and last time visiting...

Our first experience with Greek cuisine this trip. Very friendly reception and service. However, several things went wrong when taking the order.

We ordered a mixed plate of appetizers (combos) and asked if it was possible to replace the "fried ham and cheese rolls" with fried courgette because one of us is vegetarian. They said it was possible, however they substituted the cheese croquette instead of the ham and cheese croquette so some of it was inedible for her.

I ordered fried squid. First I was served a salad with prawns (wrongly). When we reported that I had ordered fried squid and not this salad, they immediately corrected this, but I got a risotto with prawns. Ο πιο άξεστος υπάλληλος service που έχω συναντήσει στην ζωή μου. (Αφεντικό του μαγαζιού, ελπίζω να διαβάζεις, γιατί από ότι φαίνεται στο μαγαζί δε πατάς ποτέ για να συμπεριφέρονται οι υπάλληλοι έτσι).

Αρχικά το παιδί (ας πούμε), έρχεται αφού το καλέσαμε ότι είμαστε έτοιμοι, λέει «πείτε μου» και γυρίζει πλάτη και αρχίζει να μαζεύει το δίπλα τραπέζι. «Ναι, να παραγγείλουμε θέλουμε» του λέω. «Ναι πείτε μου» ξαναλέει, γυρνώντας το κεφάλι προς το μέρος μας για να ακούσουμε. Ξεκινάω εγώ παραγγέλνω σε έναν άνθρωπο που είναι στο δίπλα τραπέζι λοιπόν και κάπου στη μέση της παραγγελίας αξιώνεται να έρθει προς εμάς και να μας κοιτάξει. Δεν κράταγε παραγγελία κάπου (ήθελε να εξασκήσει και το μνημονικό του βλέπετε), ζήτησα όμως κάποιες αλλαγές σε δυο προϊόντα καταλόγου, όπου και εμφανώς δυσανασχέτησε που τον ανάγκασα να βγάλει κινητό για να γράψει. Όλα καλά, τα κατάλαβε όλα (μάλλον).

Έρχεται 2 λεπτά μετά με τις κόκα κόλες στον δίσκο, και χωρίς να σκοντάψει κάπου τις λούζει και τις δύο στην γυναίκα μου. Χωρίς να πει τίποτα (ούτε ένα αντανακλαστικό «χίλια συγγνώμη») στέκεται εκεί με τον δίσκο στον αέρα ενώ κόκα κόλα συνέχιζε να χύνεται από τον δίσκο, σαν άγαλμα στην Φοντάνα ντι Τρέβι ένα πράμα, λες και περίμενε να στραγγίξει όλη. Πετάγομαι εγώ με τις χαρτοπετσέτες να βοηθήσω, αυτός την κάνει με ελαφρά λέγοντας ένα σιγανό «σας φέρνω άλλες».

Προφανώς εμείς εκείνη την στιγμή μένουμε παγωτό που δεν ακούσαμε ούτε ένα συγγνώμη (να μην παρεξηγηθώ, κατανοώ ότι λάθη τέτοιου τύπου συμβαίνουν στο service) και φοράμε παλτά να φύγουμε. Ο υπάλληλος λοιπόν, ενώ ερχόταν προς το τραπέζι, μόλις μας βλέπει να φεύγουμε κάνει μεταβολή και κρύβεται στην κουζίνα.

Υπόλοιποι υπάλληλοι άφαντοι, πάει η γυναίκα μου μέσα να ενημερώσει για ακύρωση, βγαίνει ο τυπάς από την κουζίνα, «ακύρωσε την παραγγελία» λέει η γυναίκα μου, «ότι θες» απαντάει με απάθεια αυτός.

Για να προλάβω αυτούς που θα πουν ότι ίσως το παιδάκι το κακόμοιρο ήταν ψαρωμένο και του συνέβη πρώτη φορά και σκάλωσε, ο τύπος αυτός είχε από την αρχή ένα στυλ βαρυμαγκιάς και σε καμία περίπτωση δεν έδειχνε νέος...
